Trump: 'I'd Do The Public A Big Favor' By Suing Ted Cruz Over Eligibility To Be President
Daily Caller ^ | 1/17/16 | Steve Guest

Posted on 01/17/2016 12:48:44 PM PST by jimbo123

Donald Trump unloaded on Sen. Ted Cruz, saying, "I'd do the public a big favor" by suing Cruz over his eligibility to be president.

-snip-

Stephanopoulos then said, "But you know, the person who sued him probably doesn't have standing, a lot of legal scholars-." Trump interrupted, saying, "That's all right. There will be a lot of people who sue him who do have standing."

"Say you have standing, why don't you file the case," Stephanopoulos asked. Trump responded, "Oh that's an interesting case. Wow that sounds like a very good case. I'd do the public a big favor."

-snip-

Stephanopoulos then asked Trump if he was going to put his money where his mouth is, and Trump said, "Well it's a good idea. Maybe I'll talk to them about it. I'd like to talk to Ted about it, see how he'd feel about it. Cause you know, when I file suits, I file real suits okay."

Well yelling about how horrible the banking and wall street is with a wife that works for the worst one and numerous loans he took out from said hated groups.....then lies about having said loan so he would have to face the truth with voters.

Going to gay parties and hooping it up especially during a very important vote day in Congress. He said, “he couldn't be bothered to vote because he was raising money from his gay friends.” Nice......they were promised a night at the Lincoln bedroom.....gross.

He is a Canadian, Cuban and not American until 15 months ago.

He voted against the Firefighters and police after our only terror attack on the continental state. Who does that? Terrible and his reasoning is because he hates liberal New York. Great excuse.....Not.

A lot will be coming out and none of it pretty but I believe even detail. I knew he was a fraud from day one. It takes you guys a long time. I have watched you froth at the mouth on more then a few occasions. You loved so many and were obsessed until they because a disappointment. I am just trying to save you time.

The RNC should file the suit in behalf of Cruz, Rubio, Santorum , Jindall and even Trump. It is a party peoblem. They must do the certification that the person is eligible. Nancy P and the democrats chose the strike that paragraph from their document

Again, Ted Cruz has created this situation for himself and for us by running for POTUS as a non-NBC. He’s smart guy. There can be no doubt that he had to have known that this was going to happen.

Trump is diverted or distracted. He is foolishly obsessed. He is looking stupid at best. He will probably have a stroke or a heart attack before it is all over.

I am a committed Conservative. Check my history of Free Republic posts. I have been a consistently conservative Freeper for almost 16 years (I was a lurker for a couple of years before that). When I was in college, I had the honor of actively supporting and campaigning for Ronald Reagan for President, both in 1980 and 1984. It has been all downhill since then.

I am also one of the roughly 60 to 70% of Republican voters (depending on the poll) who do not currently support Trump. For Trump to win the nomination he is going to have to win over some of us. For Trump to then beat Hillary he is going to have to convince nearly all of us to actively and enthusiastically support his campaign.

I have an open mind on Trump. Moreover, if Trump is going to be the Republican nominee I desperately want to believe that he is a conservative. If we don't elect a conservative President next year then I don't see any way that our nation can come back.

Four Supreme Court Justices (one conservative, one moderate, and two far left wing liberals) will be over 80 years old next year. Two of the remaining five Justices are young far left-wing liberals appointed by Obama. If even three of the four octogenarian Justices are replaced with young liberals then a far left-wing oligarchy will be ruling the Court and every aspect of our lives for the next 30 years.

So all of you Trump supporters, don't attack us non-believers, convince us. I honestly have seen nothing of Trump's record before the current campaign to suggest that he is any more conservative than Michael Bloomberg (another New York billionaire who ran for office as a Republican). Why do you believe that Trump is a conservative and not just a very gifted salesman who knows how to tell his audience what they want to hear?

There are compelling reasons to duck it IMO.

Exactly. The GOPe were planning to steal Cruz’s delegates at the convention at the last minute after Justice Roberts rules him ineligible. That’s why Jeb is still confident that he’ll get the nomination.

This video shows why the tens of millions of Trump supporters like him. Trump talks to people like he’s in their living room. Others lecture and talk *at* people in a patronizing way.

People are openly discussing how unpopular Cruz is with his peers. It seems to be common knowledge in DC and it’s why no one in the Senate is coming to his defense

Trump is one of the most powerful anti conservative forces in America today.

By the way, when Roberts was having confirmation hearings, I was bashed to hell and back and called a RINO for being negative on Roberts. NOBODY believed me at all. I am very good at seeing people for who they are....don’t know why God gave me that gift but whatever it is I was right. You guys were all tingling about Roberts and I was rolling my eyes saying “What the heck is wrong with your picking conservatives”.......many of your are HORRIBLE at picking conservatives. Just horrible. Toomey is another you all were having a love affair with......I was pulling my hair out saying how dumb you all were to no avail. I was called every name in the book.....but again I was right and he is a gays in the military, immigration lover, gun control etc type of conservative you support? Sheesh why not just support the Democrats. You fit in with your choices. It is a mess and it continues again with Cruz. I will just sit back and wait for my vindication once again.

Actually it is the correct attitude. “The Donald” always complains about being treated fairly by the GOPe, and now he’ll resort to GOPe and RAT tactics to win. One thing that Trump will have to accept, is that if he resorts to dirty tricks like this, he’ll likely lose the votes that he would have gotten from Cruz supporters like me, if he had beaten Cruz fairly.

How do you know they aren’t working together to get this issue resolved. You really should not indict an individual until the investigation and all material is presented. Trump won’t file but the RNC will

It is certainly telling that none of his colleagues are giving him the time of day. Of course everyone in the Senate knows what a fraud and liar he is so why should they. The day is coming when the Cruz cultists will finally see the light. I just hope and pray it isn't too late. They seem to do with with many scoundrel's......Rove was beloved by some here! lol. Yikes. Credibility is not exactly a trait for most.

Since CRUZ situation is very similar to Obamas. The two justices O appointed will have to recluse themselves.

This is a great idea. I think it will get it resolved before the primaries go too far. Trump is giving Ted a legal way to get in front of this. For the life of me, I can’t figure out why anybody on this board doesn’t see the media and the rats not letting this go if Ted is on the ticket as CiC or VP. They will run negative ads and BS articles until the only thing the low info voter sees is a Canadian trying to run the USA.
