Ted should ask for forgiveness so this will die down.

Goldman Sachs. I’m sorry but just that fact his wife works for those scumbags turns me off

Goldman sold bad bonds which they knew were bad to suckers..laughed about it after and shorted them..all proven!

“Cruz better be careful painting in broad brushes.”

For all the alleged debate genius, this was a pratfall that will mark him for life.

Ted should of clarified that remark as NYC values because the rest of the state, especially up north, is hardly liberal, but they all suffer because of the actions in the Big Apple.

Senator Ted Cruz raised questions on Wednesday at a private fund-raiser about whether Donald J. Trump, his bombastic rival for the Republican presidential nomination, has the “judgment” to be president and mused about “strength,” according to two people who attended the event in Manhattan.

He didn’t seem to mind fund raising in NY.

NY conservatives know the real NY. And most would agree with Cruz’ statement and acknowledge that Trump is grandstanding on heart strings because the heroes of 9/11, who most in the city despise right now, have absolutely nothing to do with the argument.

I’m in Upstate New York. Ted has deeply insulted me and my friends because that statement was in no way supportive of the good people of New York.

New Yorkers don’t think the rest of the country matters. Same goes for Boston.

I don't think Ted's comment will change many minds one way or the other, because while he coulda phrased it better, and it opened him up to a debate zinger providing fodder for the chattering hacks, deep down people know what he meant.

All the gnashing of teeth is alotta primary sound & fury signifying nothing.

I'd rather hear more comparative analysis of their respective economic plans.

This is really a stupid argument, but Ted Cruz blew it on his answer.

He should have said there are several things he loves about New York values...like their love of country and pride they have in being an American. The way they responded to 911 was amazing. But the values he’s referring to are those that have elected someone like Deblasio as Mayor.

We all know what he means, but he did blow the answer.

I dont know what the uproar is all about. New York leaders say the very same thing Cruz just said. Both de Blasio and Cuomo have stated that pro-life, anti-gay and assault weapon (whatever they think that means) advocates are not welcome in New York. According to Cuomo “conservative Republicans have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.”

Cruz was only echoing their statements.

Cruz made a bad mistake. I thought so at the time, when he was running on in this bad direction.

However, I don't know how these candidates can stay focused and circumspect considering the pressure they're under.

Trump consistently stays focused. He's probably the smartest of all the candidates, Republican and Democrat.

Trump's intellect TOWERS over the mediocre minds that "report the news". It's annoying to watch these silly people of mediocre intellect trying to explain Trump and the Trump Phenomenon--trying to make truth conform to some foolish explanation that apparently makes sense to them, something that their mediocre minds can understand but which is obviously not true.
