Tonight’s GOP debate was Ted Cruz’s night. He went right after Donald Trump multiple times, but in a way that came across as forceful and informed, but not nasty. He also fended off a pretty vigorous attack from Marco Rubio. His strongest points came early and against Trump, when the audience would be the largest.
Trump was runner-up. He had a good moment on Cruz’s slam on “NY Values,†but I’m not sure how defending NY values plays outside NY. His performance will confirm pre-existing views of him.

Even if I agree that trump won, even though I don’t. Cruz hardly blew it given that SAME drudge debate poll shows him at 30%.

his display of pandering was the most repulsive thing I have heard in a LONG TIME.

Trump won the debate because no one was able to dethrone him. Cruz and Rubio did fine, but the race remains as it was before this debate. Jebbie did better, but I have a great distaste for all things Bush.
I’m sure NYC folks might object but, why do you think that insulting NYC is a problem for most Republicans across America. Despite what NYC thinks, the country and especially Republican politics doesn’t revolve around it.

I only saw clips posted on Facebook but Cruz totally won on those.
Sorry to say, I am really starting to dislike Trump.
I may even despise him now.
And I may even have to vote for him.
That one isn't over yet.
I think Cruz will produce his CRBA soon. Then the issue fades until and unless he gets the nomination, after which it comes back with a vengeance.

I only caught bits and pieces on the radio (late and busy night at the office), but from what I did catch, Cruz did very well.
Trump’s best. I didn’t think he could do this well. On China he had everyone on stage, and the moderators, looking up to him. It was phenomenal.
Cruz had a good one, handled ‘eligibility’ and ‘NY values’ well. Excellent closing.

Yep, he is following in Obama’s unconstitutional footsteps. The question is, are ignorant Americans on the RINO side going to do a repeat of the ignorant Dumbo-rats of 2008 & 2012 and elect another unconstitutionally qualified blow-hard, on paper only, supposed constitutional lawyer, that will say ANYTHING to win his case?

Kinda says it all. Cruz looks calm and confident.
Trump looks pouty and cranky. Look at his little mouth.
Cruz has been before the Supreme Court. Got to know your stuff there. Kinda a hard to defeat a Conservative with that kind of gravitas
Cruz kept bringing up all the bills he intrduced. Most of them never passed. He isn’t capable enough to run the government. He also doesn’t get along with people he works with. His snarky comments tonight we’re not close to presidential. All he does is argue with everyone around him. I think Trump was the best with maybe Christie in second. Jeb blew it early on and made a fool of himself

It’s not what I came away with, and the problem you have on your hands, is that photo isn’t going to win folks over.
