As the Republican candidates prepare for tonight's GOP debate on Fox Business... conservative GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump just received news so extraordinary that he didn't even expect it!
According to a bombshell report by the Washington Post, not only is Trumps lead among Republicans at historic levels, but his national lead is TWO TIMES BIGGER THAN HILLARY CLINTON'S!
This announcement of polling data destroys the arguments made by the political establishment that Trump isn't electable in a general election. There is no candidate in either party that has this sort of massive appeal among likely voters:
National polling doesn't mean a lot in a contest that is composed of a series of staggered state-by-state battles. It does, however, give a broad sense of the mood of the country. And that mood, as of this week? Donald Trump's a bigger frontrunner than Hillary Clinton. By a lot.
Even the liberals at the Washington Post are forced to begrudgingly admit how much larger Trump's lead is compared to Hillary Clinton's. While the FBI continues and expands its criminal probe into Hillary's illegal activity as Secretary of State, Donald Trump is presenting his bold message for America's future.
It's clear that - at this moment - nothing is slowing down the 2016 Trump Train... and it's racing toward victory and the White House! This changes everything, and will certainly be in the minds of every GOP candidate as they go on the attack during tonight's two debates.

Hillary is rapidly losing her lead over Bernie precisely because Trump attacked her hard. He did in fact do Bernie a big favor. This bodes well for the idea that Trump will be able to hit her and make it stick during the generals.

Only one candidate needs IA and that is Cruz. It doesn't move the needle on anyone else at all. It will not change the mind of a single NH voter or a SC voter, period.

He is animated when speaking. That's his style. Like his hair, it works for him. Tell me a single person at any level that has earned the right to give Trump advice so far.
Moreover, how can you give advice to a man who artfully uses...

Not me. I don't want deported illegals to be expedited right back into the country, nor do I want higher tax rates for the top tax brackets. I don't want the federal government picking up the tab for people's medical bills either.
Not long ago, you couldn't find anyone here at Free Republic who would have embraced anyone holding these positions. But today, such a candidate has a very loud cheering section.

In other words, Trump did Bernie’s “job” for him, going after his competition for him.
If Clinton is indicted and is not the nominee, then Trump can use this as well. Remember Bernie capitulated right at the start, by saying he had enough of Hillary’s emails? Is this what he would do as President? Get tired of....treason?
I believe Mr. Dole, formerly of KS, said he will back his last opponent’s wife, Mrs. Bill, if Jebbie is not the Republican nominee. Bob “Dull” has a soft spot in his heart for a Democrat.

Nolt only can Trump easily beat Hillary AND Bernie, he can do so handily, which Cruz can NOT do.
That’s the thing; I think that Trump is the only one who CAN live up to all the tough talk.
I love Cruz, but he just doesn’t strike me as the kind of dirty street fighter that we need to shank the establishment right now.
And the less said about the rest of the junk crowd, the better.

Sure...and polls can be manipulated to show a result that is not accurate. You can’t pick and choose the polls that you want to “believe”. Besides the poll that I provided is based on an average of the most recent polls and even those individuals polls show Hillary beating Trump. I’ve only found one poll out of about 30 different polls that show Trump beating Hillary in the primary, which does not bode well for Trump. If Trump keeps alienating Cruz supporters then Trump will have no way to win a primary, which, I believe, is reflected in the polls.
If Hillary is sure to beat Trump, why are the democrats & liberals & HILLARY aiming all their fire at Trump?

I was only responding to your assertion that Trump is so far ahead in the polls, but if you believe those polls then you also have to believe that same polls that show Trump loses to Hillary. To do otherwise, just shows the dishonesty of Trump supporters.
Trump will most likely lose to Hillary because Hillary will get most of the dem votes and Cruz supporters will mostly stay home rather than support a liberal like Trump. Therefore, the end result, Trump does NOT have enough votes to win the general.
Just because you live with your head up Trump’s a55 24/7 does NOT mean the rest of us do. Most true conservatives despise Trump, but a few will still hold their nose and vote for him. The rest of us will not.
Keep in mind, Trump started out at 5% in republican primary when he announced. He has done a masterful job of ascending to the top of the republican field and staying there for several months. He has basically IGNORED the demoncrats, except responding when attacked directly. Just wait until after the convention. If Trump is the nominee, your head is going to spin with the withering attack from Trump. Trump is NOT SHY, NOT MEEK, ANS NOT PC.
As for Cruz voters staying home, Trump does NOT need every fringe Cruzer’s vote. Have you seen the poll where Trump is polling 25% of African-American voters? Romney got 4%.
