Donald Trump is taking aim at Republican presidential rival Sen. Ted Cruz, a tactical shift that could be risky on two fronts: It may have come too late, and the Texas senator might actually be benefiting from the attacks......
For Mr. Cruz, being under attack by other Republicans is a badge of honor, another backer said. "It's a quasi-endorsement of Cruz to the grass roots," said Saul Anuzis, former Michigan GOP chairman.
Polls show a growing number of Trump backers see Mr. Cruz as their second choice. Cruz spokesman Rick Tyler said that when the campaign began, polls showed that only 4% of Trump backers saw his boss as their second choice. A new poll by NBC/SurveyMonkey finds that number has risen to 39%.
The latest Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll found that 66% of Trump voters said they would consider supporting Mr. Cruz -- far more than other major candidates....

As I said before, I am very happy to hear that you do not use any services that come from the utilization of eminent domain.
If you think about all the large projects in your city, you’ll realize you have used them and will continue to.
As you should.
Nice post.
I’m going to be leaving the thread. Although some great examples have been presented, these two want to hate Trump more than they want to admit to the truth.
That’s okay. I’ve spent the last seven months dealing with people just like them.
Kind of sad actually.
You are a true American hero! You also have lots of patience. Go Trump!
“Out of curiosity, who has the power to declare whether Cruz is eligible to run, or not? Is it Congress, the Supreme Court...or who?”
My opinion on that is that it’s up to the voters and the electors in the electoral college. That’s why I always thought the Obama ineligibility issue was a loser.
BTW, The Constitution nowhere says the Supreme Court is the final arbiter of all Constitutional questions. That’s a power the supremes have arrogated to themselves over the years. Nothing in the Constitution gives Congress the power to make that decision (unless the election gets thrown into the House for decision).
I’m glad to hear that none of you Cruz supporters use anything that was built or created using eminent domain.
I think that is a great moral stand and I respect it.

Oh, we “Cruz supporters” are firm believers that eminent domain has a place in our great nation. In our view, eminent domain is rightly employed when needed to build agreed upon PUBLIC projects such as bridges, interstate highway systems, public airports, etc. And, of course, the use of eminent domain is proper ONLY when just and fair compensation is given to the people whose property is being appropriated through legal process.
We “Cruz supporters” do NOT believe that one person’s property should be INVOLUNTARILY taken and ownership transferred to another PRIVATE ENTITY for that ENTITIES USE. Such CRONYISM and abuse/corruption of governmental power is greatly despised by constitutionalists such as “Cruz supporters”.
Thanks. “:^)
Okay, then I can mark you down as not wanting the Keystone Pipeline to be built. Thanks.
Like Obama trying to help Healthcare and our Southern border,as well as protecting us from Muslim terrorists
I’m not so sure Cruz is with you here.
That is how all socialists score their victories. Kinda like Obama and his ilk.
Now I see how the kool-aid works.
If you have proof, then link to that source !
Too bad you can’t see how the TDS works.
I have addressed that continually.
If you haven’t the tools to grasp it, then you don’t.
Take care.
Again you try to distort the issue.
But you fail!
Get back on subject, and the subject is “EMINENT DOMAIN FOR PRIVATE USE” !

The discussion on this thread has evolved from a discussion of Trump targeting Cruz to a discussion of eminent domain and Donald Trump. I’ll post an item from BEFORE THIS YEAR’S ELECTION CONTEST to continue that debate...in a focused manner.
First ED allows roads to be built under it's clause for the public good
Now secondly are you saying that private owners should not build these rail roads or infrastructures and the GOVERNMENT should? What next, Government should own all of the State land too? Where did you migrate from DU? Are you lost?
Cruz needs to get this straightened out or he won’t be able to be Trump’s VP choice. So many Cruz supporters trash Trump so much I’m beginning to be believe Dave Brat would be a better choice than Cruz for VP. Doesn’t have that unlikeable quality Ted has.
Those were privately owned railroads. And, yes, it's clause is for "the public good," which for more than a hundred years has permitted such usage.
After this quote, your post became too stupid.
Many Cruz supporters are doing their guy in because they simply can’t see the forest for the trees.
A “dreamer” wanted to have a little confrontation with Cruz the other day. During the discussion, Cruz said that “our immigration system is broken”. A liberal talking point. It is, of course, not enforced. If it were enforced, there would not be any problem.
Does that sound “consistently conservative” to you? Add to that his stated desire to get the illegals “out of the shadows” (before Trump started his run). Add to that his vote for the Corker bill, his vote for TPA, his reluctance to call for deportation (I don’t INTEND to allow them to stay), and the man has liberal talking points in his mind.
