Eleanor Darragh, mother of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 97% , was born in Delaware on Nov. 23, 1934, establishing her citizenship by birth-and, according to U.S. law, that of her son, even though he was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on Dec. 22, 1970.

The Cruz for President campaign provided Breitbart News exclusively with the birth certificate.

For someone "just answering a question", and/or not purposely bringing it up, it seems Trump is either confused on the issue or using it to play the political game...

2013 interview with ABC's Jonathan Karl, Trump responded to the question of whether Cruz was eligible to run by saying, "Perhaps not.

3-23-2015 Donald Trump Goes Birther on Canadian-Born Ted Cruz

09-15-2015 Donald Trump has reversed his position on Ted Cruz’s eligibility to run for president, now saying his Canadian birthplace shouldn’t disqualify him.

"I hear it was checked out by every attorney and every which way and I understand Ted is in fine shape," Trump told ABC News just before speaking at a Capitol Hill rally blasting the Iran nuclear deal.

Donald Trump: Ted Cruz's citizenship could 'be a big problem'

To those with a brain, it's obvious Donald Trump is attempting to cast doubt on campaign rival Ted Cruz's presidential campaign by calling into question his Canadian birth.

No, that is Trump who is for government grabbing private property. Got any problem with that?

What I posted about was winning arguments with ideas.

But really, what argument could a stupid ass make who says ban muslims till our leaders figure out what is going on. After he tells us nonstop that our leaders are clueless and he has nothing figured out himself - LoL!

-——No statute can alter the original intent or meaning of Article II, Section 1, Clause 5. That can only be constitutionally done by resort to the Article V amendment process.-——

We have thousands of statues that after, modify, change the original intent of all the articles of the constitution....

Granted, many I disagree with but they still are valid and are current law....

Do we need to ignore all of those as well?

"But what about...?? Eight Presidents, however, were born before 1776, meaning they were born before the United States existed: George Washington. John Adams. Thomas Jefferson. James Madison. James Monroe. John Quincy Adams. Andrew Jackson. William Henry Harrison"

Except its not a Canadian voters list. Its like a census of potential voters whether they could vote or not.

“They might be friendly toward us, but we are decidedly not their friends, so who cares the only reason they haven’t faded in to history is our insane oil policy.”

Although Trump seems to hate everyone and every country, and maybe he wants to build a wall around the whole country and let no one in, we live in the world and are attached to other countries who produce items we must have, so his chidish tactics will destroy the country as much as Obama’s destruction of the country is happening. In my opinion, Trump is a freak character.

This primary has been an eye opener. Conservatism’s triumphs or dies here.

when Cruz is elected

I'm sorry, but as much as I like and respect Cruz how is he going to be elected in a nation that voted for Obama twice?

The founders would be begging George III for forgiveness if they knew what we’d be up to. However, I doubt they wanted US citizens to be exempt from being pres. In fact, they wrote that naturalized citizens can be president. Cruz is, so what’s the issue?

Thanks for the post. It further enlightened me.

You refer to the writings and letters of earlier leaders. Are those things the same as a ruling by a court? I think not.

You refer to “Conservatives deciding” and “Liberals deciding”. Are those opinions law? I think not.

You say to me “You will do what you will do without thinking ...”. All I’m doing now is trying to get to the bottom of the Cruz citizenship question. I could give my opinion on the future of America, but that’s irrelevant to what I’m trying to do.

How about explaining why you think I’m “not thinking”.

You talk about Washington considering the Constitution just a piece of paper. Instead of “Washington” I’d say “the current Washington”.

Man, you got pinwheels-for-eyes when it comes to Trump.

Well, I guess it's because he's been living rent-free in your head for most of last year, and all of this year... LOL! :)
