Well, so far complaints involving the ineligibility for Cruz, Rubio and Jindal to run for president have been filed in three states. Florida, Vermont, and MD. It appears all these people have to do is show proof of the eligibility requirements to run for president as stated in the constitution. So far none have, however Jindal has dropped out so it is moot for him. (Citizenship is not the same as the naturalization requirements for citizenship to run for President as stated in the constitution.)
For some odd reason, Cruz has had his birth records sealed. Heâll have to answer the reason why himself. Heaven forbid if we speculate on that one. It does appear very strange especially if he has nothing to hide? He did show his Canadian Birth Certificate and his paper denouncing his Canadian citizenship, but he has not shown any consulate papers. That must be what he has sealed. So if Cruz will just show proof of the proper papers there should be no problem. But, so far he has not and avoids the subject when asked.
Rubio, will be very difficult to prove as neither of his parents were citizens until five years after he was born.

Me neither.
But Ted Cruz could produce it tonight if it exists.
I don't either.
Instant internet karma strikes again. Call someone else a moron online, and inevitably come across as moronic yourself. Happens every time.
Take a few days off.
Next time it’ll be permanent.
Except for being asked to prove a negative as asked by many on FR
Hey Wright you got to hang around long enough so I can win the bet.
Interesting interview (1:30) in with Cruz on this issue. He deflects the question “citizen” when it’s clearly “natural born citizen” (there’s a distinction).

There’s also a problem with just basic honesty as Cruz has lied about when he knew he was a dual citizen:
There was a deal cut with Obama and McCain that they’d not raise the issue about each other. They had their respective legal experts (Lawrence Tribe was Obama’s) draft a memo saying there was no problem.
But it’s never been considered by the Supreme Court.
An ABA Journals backs Cruz:

I like Cruz, but he needs to stop with the b.s. politician stuff. His 14th Amendment birth right position, for example.
Pathetic isn’t it? It’s hard to believe this guy actually gets paid to spout off this infantile, shallow dribble that he tries to spout off as analysis.
Looks like C. Edmund Wright got the zot for a few days.
Hard to prove something that has not been defined properly by the Court. You can however just declare; I am eligible, it is settled law.
Pretty shameful Ed, sorry to see you resort to such petty name calling. It is beneath you.
Trump legitimately pointed out that the democrats will make an issue of it and they have. Whether Trump was totally deceitful in bringing up the issue hoping the dems would grab the bone is not totally improbable but the fact is if it didn't come up now it certainly would if Cruz prevails and you know it.
Trump will expose Obama once he is elected president.
Nope not me so that proves it, she is not a citizen.
By the way it is customary to pick and chose which facts we need to prove our point and all efforts to exclude my facts are just silly.</s>
I was never a Trump fan and to be accurate am only on these thread now because of the incessant trashing of Trump for no other reason than Cruz is barely reaching two digits in the polls and the Trump/Cruz campaign has not helped him. Before he actually announced I called Trump "a fumble mouthed blowhard that can't speak in complete sentences" and believed that Carly would make him look silly if they got on the same debate stage. I occasionally poked fun at the most vocal Cruz supporters that were incessantly bashing Trump, but would never have attacked Cruz personally until the illogical Trashing of Trump became too much to stomach.
Most Trump supporters would try to caution against the rhetoric because it just offers free opposition research to the dems. No such toning down happened because about a dozen of the most vile invade every Trump thread, spreading hate and discontent, so you reap what you sew.
For what it is worth I never thought Rubio, Trump or Jindal met the strict interpretation of NBC but was willing to let that issue go because Obama and the GOPe sort of mooted the issue.
I did not nor do I now support Trump, but a pretty big majority of voters seem to be more than fine with him and they most likely will not warm to Cruz no matter what Trump does. I only wish Cruz had came out strong on the positions Trump opened his campaign with, but he didn't. That is on Cruz not Trump.
You would think a brilliant layer would see the damage this is causing.
And where were all the challenges to BHO’s “natural born citizen” this time in 2008?
Maybe not ineligible but likely unelectable in any case, that is the real reason for all these threads. Some think that if they knock down Trump that Cruz will benefit, I don't think so, in any case it is not certain, you are not surging ahead when you don't beat Rubio or even Jebby in some polls.
