I agree. I do not like the NFLization of college football. I liked having traditional bowl games on New Years’ Day, and that’s it. Going to a Bowl game should be an honor, instead, going to a bowl game is like going to the NIT in basketball, who cares?

You think the Oregon AD is giving Chip Kelly a call right now?

He's better than our coach (Gundy). That was embarrassing. Congrats. At least the Gooners lost. Congrats to TCU as well.

I thought the pairings were fine. Some teams were just not up for the game.

Not quite as good as the 2007 Fiesta Bowl (greatest game of all time) but still an exhilarating game!

When motel 6 sponsors a bowl game ever ( Cactus bowl) I think it is safe to say we have officially reached the bottom of the barrel.

Bowl games used to mean something. Now there are so many I’ve never heard of a lot of them.
It used to be that the final rankings often depended upon the outcome of a few different bowl games. It made New Years Day much more exciting. It was the Orange, Sugar, Cotton, and Rose Bowls that mattered most.
It’s like too much of a good thing isn’t such a good thing anymore. There is way too much sports on TV. I don’t care to watch most of it.

The need to go to a back-up center for the shotgun exposed the importance of that initial exchange. But in fairness tot he Ducks' stand in, the pressure TCU was sending caused the center to raise up before he got the ball out from under his rear end. That was a really good bowl game however. The Ducks scored in OY when they had to, until that last missed exchange sacked the QB.
Congrats are in order for TCU and especially Kohlhausen. What a game he played when it was on the line!

the old bowl season left many teams with a “win” to end the season....so what if it was a Banana bowl...it means something to the fans and to the teams....I like the old bowl season...
