Should it be Trump v. Clinton in 2016, it will be great fun
National Post ^ | 01/02/2015 | Rex Murphy

Normally, reverberating feminist truisms would deserve neither ink nor air, but American politics is no longer normal. Donald Trump is its ringmaster now. Brash, egotistic and determined to play by no rules but his own, Trump has bulldozed the conventional understanding of how politics is to be played, what may be said and how to deal with opponents.

the Dems will find a way to ditch Hillary the Liar
she’s a loser (and she really, really looks and sounds sick, too....just saying...)

they will either go with Bernie the Red (who will do a lot better at the polls than Hillary!)... or else they’ll find somebody who isn’t quite as obviously leftist...but again, someone who will run a whole lot better than Hillary

a Trump-Bernie contest would at least be highly entertaining, I’ll give it that!

You really didn't have to post this. Same ole....Same ole. Folks saw this attitude before. Incidentally, if all the Hispanics had voted for Romney or all the Evangelicals had voted for Romney it wouldn't have made a difference. So, stay home. Who needs you.

Personally, I would vote for Cruz if nominated, even though I know he is a 'Goldman Sachs-ean' globalist, cloaking himself in religiosity. Cruz would save a few of our freedoms, of the ones we have left. On the other hand, Trump is a nationalist and would place America first - or at least this is worth a vote this go round.

But make no mistake, with Cruz more and more small towns across the country will hear 'the call to prayer' blasted by loud speakers 5 times a day as they are inundated with Muslim cheap labor.

All that is if he got elected, which he would more than likely end up getting blasted the way Santorum was in his last Senate attempt in PA. We need a President, not a Parson.

she is heavily favored by the mechanics of the electoral college

That's only ASSUMING that states vote the same way they did for Obama

Problem for Hillary - if only one big "Dem" state breaks for Trump, she's hooped

Trump is from New York (unlike Hillary) and is popular there

All it takes is for him to run some ads like "New Yorkers should vote for a REAL New Yorker, not some Arkansas carpetbagger" .... New York is in play, much as the Democrats and Big Media don't want to admit it!

Sounds logical to me.

I don't care that Trump may not be the pure political ideologue that some people lament his not being. I'm a Cruz guy, but without Trump, Jethro Bush would already be anointed.

I personally believe that Trump and Cruz are a tag-team.

Eight years of Trump/Cruz followed by eight years of Cruz/Somebody-Else works for me.

If earning billions means that one has to sell their soul to the Clintons and other liberal democrats then that isn’t the person I want to elect to the presidency. If Trump gets the nod and Hillary is the nominee you better believe that his palling around and supporting the Clinton machine will be a very effective line of attack against Trump. The man isn’t a conservative, he’s a chameleon, a flip flopper and an opportunist who has bounced between right and left every decade until he recently had a change of heart in 2010.

Should it be Trump vrs Clinton, I stay home. I refuse to vote for the lesser of two liberals.

I agree with you, you should stay home.

You're vote is not needed, as it will be replaced by dozens, maybe even hundreds of disaffected Democrat voters.

We will make America Great Again without you.

The great thing for you, we won't hold your sourpuss attitude against you, we will share Americas new greatness with you without revenge.

Trump has constantly compromised his principles, we like to jump on Jeb Bush and rightfully so for palling around with Hillary and Bill and giving her a medal, but why should we give Trump a pass for his liberal past that he keeps going back to when it suits him?

If Trump does not win this matchup in a landslide this country is finished.

So exactly how did he "compromise his principles?"

By buying politicians and admitting that's what he does and that's how it all works?

LOL! Not a chance.

You obviously haven't listened to Donald's speech's where he brags about his relationship with the Clintons.

Any such 'attacks' will fall flat, and he will dismantle the attack overnight.

Try something else.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

If you preach that message after the primaries are over and Trump wins the nomination, expect to be banned from F.R.

Possibly, you don’t care about that.
