This week anyway. He’s been very methodical. After he wraps up the nomination he can go after Hillary.

Let's have a debate on the constitution

We're electing a Chief Executive not a Chief Debator, so let's not pick another smug lawyer who's never had a real job in their entire adult life.

Cruz refuses to lay a glove on Hillary or Bill.
.........................................................................................
Not sure what planet you living on. Cruz has been attacking Hilary long before Cruz started running for president. Cruz has attacked Hilary Clinton a heck of a lot more than Donald Trump who until recently, was Hilary Clinton’s best pal. Bill Clinton? Cruz is not running against Bill Clinton.
***********************************************************************************
SmokingJoe, I’m not sure we’re are going to be able to convince the anti-Cruz jihadists of anything until this primary election is over.

If Cruz wins the nomination, many of the current anti-Cruz jihadists will then disavow their sudden near-hatred toward Cruz & his supporters and come back to their original positions of recognizing Ted Cruz as one of the leading constitutional conservatives of our day. Yes, I said “come back” because many of them held Cruz in high esteem until Trump came along (I checked many of their “old” postings to verify my memory). While most will certainly come back and eagerly support Cruz in the general, some will not. The ones who will not are those that have been “logically” lobotomized and have become permanently estranged from constitutional conservatism OR they have been Trolls all along, here on Free Republic on a mission.

I hope the Trolls are in the minority of the anti-Cruz jihadists.

The same thinking above applies to the anti-Trump jihadists amongst us...and they exist also.

This continual bickering between pro-Cruz and pro-Trump factions has got to end because it does the work of the GOPe and the ‘RATS and they don’t even have to lift a finger. (except their middle finger which is always raised to conservatives)

If FReepers want to make (and keep) a truly excellent New Year’s Resolution, it would be to refrain from attacking the two leading candidates for the Republican nomination. As my tagline says, it’s Trump or Cruz and our Esteemed Founder has said that more than once.

I’ve pointed out many times that I was supporting Cruz before Trump entered the race, and I like them both, Trump has in fact plowed the field by taking the heat off of Cruz in these early months, forcing the libtard media and the ‘RAT-GOPe UniParty to attack him more than Cruz. That’s a good thing.

If Trump accomplishes only one other thing between here and the convention, which is to permanently drive out Jebuardo Bush, he will have done us all a great service for which we should be grateful.

You won’t see me posting anything negative about Ted Cruz, and I encourage his supporters to reciprocate. We need to beat the ‘RATS and a circular firing squad isn’t the way to do it.
**********************************************************************
VERY nicely put, mkjessup. I like BOTH Cruz and Trump (but my preference is for Cruz) and would like to see EITHER prevail in the nomination race and in the general election. I personally plan to do whatever I need to do to help push EITHER of them across the finish line in this primary election season.

I feel personally wounded when I see supposed constitutional conservatives on Free Republic attacking either Cruz or Trump with FALSEHOODS and inuendo.

The fact that DOD hires non Americans needs to be exposed, I think most Americans would be appalled. A law needs to be passed that only native born American can contract with DOD. If they have to pay a premium to do that then so be it.

had (and needed) a legal immigration process

I'd like someone explain how any form of immigration helps the average American or makes their life any easier. Immigration helps the few and hurts the many. Immigration is at the expense of the taxpayer and society. It can only lower wages.

I’d like to apologies for the personal insult. I should not have posted that but this issue makes my blood boil. I am so glad the issue of H-1B is getting exposed. It has been a long time.

Thanks for posting the apology. I understand that everyone, myself included at times, is pretty worked up about the primary election. Have a happy new year!

...The ones who will not are those that have been “logically” lobotomized and have become permanently estranged from constitutional conservatism OR they have been Trolls all along, here on Free Republic on a mission...

I have been permanently attached to constitutional conservatism my entire voting life. Prior to Trump entering the race, I was trying to decide between Perry and Walker, with Christie a distant third. I did not, do not and will not support Cruz, Rubio or Jindal when he was in.

Presidents come and go, some bad, some good, some mediocre, but the constitution remains my touchstone. Cruz, Rubio and Jindal were never and will not be ever eligible to be President. It doesn’t matter if they take up walking on water or flying through the air.

When Trump announced and as I started listening to him and reading about him, I decided he had my full support.

OK, fair enough. IF Cruz is the nominee and going against Shrillary, will you be here campaigning for the “don’t vote” or “only vote down ticket”?

As for me, IF Trump is the nominee, I’ll be all in for his victory in November and he’ll have my ACTIVE support. But I do hope & pray that I, and others, are not bitterly disappointed.

Rush just said that Trump lies as a strategy. The lies are part of the negotiating process. So Rush and Trump are in the same category as Rubio?

Most of my lies are sarcasm or exaggeration in a failed attempt to make a point.

Ok, 1. If Cruz is the nominee I will still vote but will vote third party, probably the Constitutional Party but it depends on who is running. Down ticket I will vote against all incumbents since here in Nevada I’m pretty disgusted with what I currently have. I guess if I’m campaigning here it would be for “vote third party.”

2. There are no guarantees in life but based on Trump’s record, he will do to the very best of his ability what he has said he will do. He has spent his lifetime building that reputation.

Wow! I don’t know what the rules in Nevada are, but Ted Cruz would be a perfect fit for that “line”. In New York State, a candidate can be on multiple tickets/lines. If either Cruz or Trump is the Republican nominee, either could well also be on the Conservative Party’s ticket—unless the law allowing it has changed.

I very strongly believe that Ted Cruz is not eligible to serve as President of the United States. It wouldn’t matter what ticket he was on.
