Ted Cruz says he won't use former President Bill Clinton's political liabilities against Democratic presidential contender and former First Lady Hillary Clinton.
"I am not interested in getting into personal attacks and innuendo," he said Tuesday at a news conference in Cisco. "Hillary Clintonâs biggest liability is that her policies are a disaster."
New York businessman Donald Trump, the frontrunner in the Republican race for president, has used Twitter to black Bill Clinton as abusive to women.
"If Hillary thinks she can unleash her husband, with his terrible record of women abuse, while playing the womenâs card on me, sheâs wrong! Mr. Trump said Monday via Twitter.
Cruz says he won't engage in such attacks.
Instead, he outlined how he would contrast himself with Clinton, should he get the Republican nomination for president.
"Because of the Obama/Clinton economic policies, millions of Americans are hurting," he said. âWe have the lowest percentage of Americans working since 1977."
He added that "the Obama/Clinton foreign policy is terrible because of the strengthening of Iran and the rise of the Islamic State.
"That is a record that is substantially indefensible," he said.

You know what CathrineofArrogant, I never once watched Celebrity Apprentice and when Trump first started hinting of a run I called him a Fumble Mouthed blowhard that couldn't speak a single sentence.
That was then, this is now and your constant Trump Thumping has done nothing to help Cruz. Your stick strangely mimicks the New York Times spiel and encourages Trumpsters to attack in kind.
I used to just point out inconsistencies in the Cruzer's stance now I am in full defense mode and have become a Trump supporter first.
Thanks for playing. But you should post a few pictures of those Cruz filled stadiums to enhance your point of view.
Turning off auto correct helps but not enough because I have a similar problem, only my brain sees what I intended to type, not what I typed.
Exactly.
Jesus was not running for office but preparing to be a sacrifice for all man kind.
Actually, I agree that that Hillary is so target-rich that Bill’s sxx-capades are best avoided. It’s just the headline that irritates me.
Bill’s CORRUPTION, his money-grubbing corruption, that’s the sweet spot which makes him Hillary’s albatross ...

Maybe he will sic Heidi on Mrs. Bill, and the people will watch.
All good, but will it attract voters?
I’m very disappointed to see this from Cruz. It’s as though he’s straining out a gnat to swallow a camel and doesn’t recognize what the true fight is.
I believe you have to have more reservations about all high-level leaders, in the church and in the world as well, but the longer the campaign goes on, the more it seems like he might be just another Establishment candidate underneath.
The top reason why personal matters always get brought up in campaigns isn’t because it “works” to talk about them. They get brought up AND it works to talk about them because THEY MATTER.
It’s like Cruz is saying “let’s just put character aside and have an intellectual debate over the issues.” Well, you CAN’T put character aside no matter what, and you cannot have a true intellectual debate, either, without considering character.
The fact that Cruz is willing to lay aside all the wrong-doing of the Clintons and pretend their upstanding citizens has the hallmarks of the secular humanist uniparty.
Meanwhile, the left isn’t going to let up for a second attacking the character and integrity of Bible-believing Christians, the right in general, and the Republic candidates. Just about every time they open their mouths, it’s to characterize their opponents as somehow immoral or amoral. And as a matter of fact, lately Republican leaders have been doing the same.
Well, we will soon see. Obama managed to take Bill out back in 2008 by playing the race card.
Clintons went from Arkansas to the White House. Only a street fighter can defeat them. Cruz will go down...he has been drafting behind Trump. Are you a leader if no one follows you? That is Ted’s problem.
