Ted Cruz says he won't use former President Bill Clinton's political liabilities against Democratic presidential contender and former First Lady Hillary Clinton.
"I am not interested in getting into personal attacks and innuendo," he said Tuesday at a news conference in Cisco. "Hillary Clinton’s biggest liability is that her policies are a disaster."
New York businessman Donald Trump, the frontrunner in the Republican race for president, has used Twitter to black Bill Clinton as abusive to women.
"If Hillary thinks she can unleash her husband, with his terrible record of women abuse, while playing the women’s card on me, she’s wrong! Mr. Trump said Monday via Twitter.
Cruz says he won't engage in such attacks.
Instead, he outlined how he would contrast himself with Clinton, should he get the Republican nomination for president.
"Because of the Obama/Clinton economic policies, millions of Americans are hurting," he said. “We have the lowest percentage of Americans working since 1977."
He added that "the Obama/Clinton foreign policy is terrible because of the strengthening of Iran and the rise of the Islamic State.
"That is a record that is substantially indefensible," he said.

It is not wise to tell the enemy that you are not going to use all the weapons at your disposal.
I hope the high road works for him, because if he’s the nominee, this obnoxious witch will use every gutter tactic in the book against him and, unfortunately, history shows that they work.
Its 20 year old news. I’m a lot more concerned about Hillary Clinton’s behavior as SOS.
It will be very important. Especially if she drags out Bill to do her campaigning for her.
I like Cruz less and less.

Hillary’s enabling is the issue. She can’t have it both ways.

Cruz has yet to get personal with any other candidate. He’s purely policy driven. It’s clearly a fundamental part of his approach. We’ll see how this works out...
So Ted, if Hillary calls you an anti women sexist you won’t throw it back in his face? You will let the rats and media define you without a rssponse as they did Mitt Romney?

Not very wise. Bill is very charismatic and ignoring him will not end well.
Cruz can take the high road but they will still make cartoons about his daughters and mock his father.
The high road is the road that leads to defeat.
Cruz sounds like McCain did in 2008...not good.

Personal attacks are one thing, but the things that make Hillary evils go beyond her evil policies. Those things should be an issue. That said, it’s ironic that Trump would bring up stuff from someone’s past.
