All schools shut down in Augusta County, Virginia, over Islam homework

After a teacher at a Virginia school handed out a standard homework assignment on Islam, such an angry backlash flooded in that it prompted officials to close every single school in the county as a safety precaution.

This needs to happen in every school district in the country.

Imagine the uproar if a mohammaden student was given an assignment to write "Jesus is my Lord and Savior. Only through Him can I enter the Kingdom of Heaven." In cursive.

Why don't some of the parents ask if this now means the schools will be "theocratic" or that "gay" sex education must now go?

I'm sick and tired of these bizarre alliances on the Left. Someone needs to stir up some household trouble.

I say the parents should keep their kids out longer. Each day a child is not in class the school loses funding.

They were closed to punish the parents for protesting the Islamic indoctrination, and to pretend that there was islamophobia that could lead to danger.

Vindictive false accusers, always the victims. Shows that the school operates under the same spirit as islam (as if the assignment weren't enough to tell).

All Muslims are taught that reciting the shahada is the oath of allegiance.
Once you say it, you’ ve accepted Mohammad as God’s prophet.
Muslims also reject the Christian concept of the Triune God.
They have another saying: there is only one God and he has no Son.
Muslims believe that any Christian who recites the shahada is renouncing Jesus, and accepting Mohammad instead.

Until homeschoolers get enough votes to make millage rates ‘0’ and end public schooling forever it’s senseless to turn this particular situation into a ‘free babysitting’ argument.

We homeschool.

Not everyone can afford to have one parent out of the work force.

If you’ve counted on having your kids in school during the day it’s a hardship to have to take off spontaneously because some superintendent is vengeful on having their agenda called out.

The whole school was thusly punished because some parents didn’t want their kids being indoctrinated into islam.

Next time, these parents won’t dare complain. Kids will be indoctrinated henceforth with no resistance.

Let's rephrase this. NO ONE is holding gun to any teacher's head and forcing them to feed children evil. They willingly do it for money!

Without the cooperation and willing assistance of several million so called “good” teachers evil government indoctrination centers could not exist.

Finally....Where is the outrage from the “good” teachers that everyone seems to know? I guess they are hiding out with all the so called silent but good Muslims.
