Nope! All Trump has to do is “smother” Ted with love and “big bear hugs”.....in public that is. Behind closed doors trashing is fine. That’s from Cruz’ own mouth. So how about it Cruz fans? Don’t you think that would be a good tactic for Trump to use on Cruz? If not, why not?

I see no reason to apologize to Ted Cruz! I would certainly not apologize to someone who attacked me in such a low handed way. Cruz , behind closed doors, revealed that his “friendship’ with Trump is simply a political ploy and in no way sincere. He went farther in his direct insult to Trump and another candidate, Carson, by insinuating neither were to be trusted with the nuclear “button.” That was a very low blow and very left-wing agenda, having been used for years by Democrats to offend Republican candidates. It was certainly not on any par with the “Image’ Cruz is trying to convey. I suspect him of being totally false and simply acting out a part.
As far as an apology to Scalia, perhaps he might consider having misunderstood Scalia’s position. The choice is Trump’s.

Civility between political allies, with the same strategic objective, is always a good idea ...

Mark my words: Trump doesn’t care about conservatism. Trump cares about what Trump cares about.

Trump cares about this country, FIRST!

So you approve of Trumps attack on Scalia?

Generals Patton and Montgomery basically couldn’t stand each other ...

Yet, they worked together to defeat the German Army ...

“That” was a “test of character” for each ...

Dittos for Donald Trump and Ted Cruz ...

Are these two individual egos BIGGER than defeating Hillary in 2016 ?

That’s what this thread is all about ...

I hope that they can stand “together” ... if either cannot, then that person (in my opinion) disqualifies himself from being elected president.

Period.

“Civility between political allies, with the same strategic objective, is always a good idea ...”

I agree, and I felt the same way just about a week ago. I wanted a Trump/Cruz ticket. Now I’m further convinced daily that Trump and Cruz are not on the same page. Therefore, they are not political allies but rather vying for factions that are very much opposed to one another. I feel that Cruz is malleable and will readily fall in with the Establishment Republicans if he’s elected.

Besides, diplomacy is a tool that is used to prevent wars. I’m afraid we’re already in this one. Civility doesn’t save lives on the battlefield. My admiration for Trump mostly stems from the fact that he realizes that America is now at war and we are, at the very best, without leadership. Oceans no longer separate us from our enemies. They’re all around us. Perhaps civility is a luxury we can no longer afford.

With Respect

Anyone that's listened to Trump knows he will never apologize unless he's wrong...AND he ain't wrong, hasn't been wrong yet.

Please clarify...Was he right when he chastised Romney as mean for his Illegal Immigrant stance?

Was he right when he Claimed Hillary did a Fantastic Job as SoS and donated to her when she ran for the Senate?

Need I go on?

Look I haven't got into the Trump-Cruz fan Pissing match on FR some of you seem to have a need to wrap yourselves in, however the Donald has flipped more than an Mexican jumping bean in the last 5-7 years on numerous issues and anyone that supports the Donald and claims otherwise is either incapable of making sound decisions based on FACTS or completely dishonest.

Please carry on...

If you want a really good take on the Scalia controversy, you should read the McWhorter column on CNN.com.

“Civility” is the root argument used to promote Political Correctness. Had enough of that. In this contest there can only be one Winner and it should be the strongest, most capable man which is obviously Trump. Cruz does not have Trump’s wide experience and expertise in economics, nor is he as committed as Trump is to closing the borders. I’m highly suspicious of Cruz when it comes to immigration and trade.

Tell you what. What if Trump made the same remark as Scalia did? How would your pc mind work then?

Can’t remember when Patton and Montgomery actually “worked together.” Please enlighten me. Each had his own objectives militarily, but Montgomery never made his “on time and under cost.”

How are you on Trump's position on Eminent Domain?

You know, government confiscation so the Donald can build a Casino Resort type stuff? Not that Saint Donald would ever engage in such activities.

LOL

.

Well, they both reported to Eisenhower, although even that didn’t go smoothly ...

Montgomery didn’t capture Caen by D-Day, as promised ...

Montgomery essentially left the Americans on their own during the Battle of the Bulge ...

and Montgomnery’s “Market Garden” was a disaster ...

You're correct in that "civility" has been abused and used as a weapon by the left ...

However ... guys on the same team should be "civil" to each other ...

Again, the GOAL is to defeat Hillary.

Being a little humorous (and truthful) ... a giant on-stage bear-hug between Ted Cruz and Donald Trump tonight ...

would scare the HELL out of the GOPe, Hillary, and little Marco Rubio.

it would be great to see ...

I think that case has already been settled in court in a case which did not involve Trump. Please tell me the difference between confiscating land to build a road and paying a higher price than the property is worth to build a business hich will provide employment to hundreds of people for their lifetimes. Some people are so pure the word Casino drives them to extremes. Face it, people will gamble and peoplelike having fun.

Perhaps you’re right, we’ll all wait and see. As far as scaring the hell out of the Libs and RINOs. They are already scared to death. Can’t see that a false reconciliation would do any good in that regard. Again, I could be wrong.

Cruz is a maniac martyr that has pretty much lost every battle and alienated everyone....

That's what the liberal Republican'ts said about Reagan in '79. It's not surprising that you all are saying it about Cruz today.

"We can't fight. It's too risky. We'll be called 'maniacs' if the rest of the go-along to get-alongs don't agree with us......."

Cruz killed the gang of 8. Cruz is responsible for Boehner stepping down. Cruz temporarily shut down Obamacare until folks like you and rest of the Republican'ts aligned with the Democrats to defeat him. Most importantly, Cruz shined the the white hot light of truth into the face of the GOPe and let the American people know what a crooked game they are playing.

You and Trump can call folks like him a "maniac" for that but you should realize that you are on the wrong side of that argument.
