On Tuesday, the Superintendent of the Los Angeles Unified School District announced that all schools would be shut down today due to an unspecified terror threat. According to ABC News, that threat also carries âunknown credibility.â Bus drivers say they have been returned to their bus depots. LAUSD is the nationâs second-largest school district, with 640,000 students and 900 schools; children range from kindergarten to 12th grade.

Japan is about as safe from Islamic terrorism as you can get. Glad for you.
The geniuses in LA are talking about making cops search 900 schools? I don’t know if I am buying that.
I would guess that would take days..many days.
“Folks now asking why are they not saying what this is so they can all be informed. They’re playing games about what type of terrorist threat this is.”
When a real threat comes, I hope that counter-terror says whatever it has to for a short time to keep us safe and nab those SOBs. The only problem? They never say the truth later on.
It’s serious when we hear DHS / FBI talking about it at the press conference. Haven’t seen that yet but it’s still early.
As we now know; the DHS & the FBI knew of the San Bernardino muzzie terrorist act before, during and after it happened. Yet they did nothing.
Perhaps they know something again and this time - they are doing something to prevent it.
At work...please ping for developments....thanks.
That’s different.
Sounds like a probe to test/monitor responses....

Yep, and the reporter on the scene is eliciting interesting info and protocol from school principal and students are telling where they will be.
” Farookâs work inside of San Bernardino schools took on special significance on Tuesday when the San Bernardino Sun reported that the terrorist had pictures of a Rialto high school on his cell phone. As a health inspector working in schoolsâ kitchens and cafeterias, Farook would have become familiar with the facilitiesâ various entrances and escape routes. He also would have had easy access to hundreds of so-called âsoft targetsâ had he wanted to cause mass carnage.”
Bump.
That's what schools are for, Charlie Brown.
Maybe some of the parents who have to miss work and money will rethink their position about jihadists.

More importantly - rethink their position about a president who supports jihadists.
Putting fear into people and disrupting their lives is terrorism.
Christian veteran buy a gun?
Die Hard 3 was just a movie.
The Beslan school massacre was real.

Since the San Bernardino guy worked for the County, had photos of schools and was a muslim who committed a terrorist attack — wouldn’t they start looking at other Muslims who worked for counties, cities, schools? Nah, guess not considering all the Muslims in higher offices.
Nah, they’ll just blame it on the GOP as usual.
Another press conference about the #LAUSD school closures at 9am today.

#LAUSD superintendent on threat: “I want every school searched” http://cnn.it/1RPEMQV
With their cell phones, they will not be standing around for long. They will be creating flash mobs all over LA today.
A few years ago in December, my wife and I were doing our Costco run and the lunch routine in a neighboring city. For some reason the kids were not in school.
Suddenly, where we planned to eat in a shopping center, dozens of high school age kids showed up in a flash mob.
Our concerns went away as the Kids started singing Christmas Carols. Several of us and the mgr at the restaurant donated money for snacks and drinks for the singers. On the way out of the restaurant we and other customers gave and received hugs from the Carolers.
I was talking about having cops search all the schools in a huge city based on a phoned in threat.
