When it came to Donald Trump's call for s "total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the US" Ms Le Pen asked a television interviewer: "Seriously have you ever heard me say something like thst?"......

Not really. The number who abstained in the first round dropped,mand almost 60% voted. The strategy of Sarkozy to not form an alliance with the PS worked.
The FN lost very big.
