Karl Rove, who served as an adviser to former President George W. Bush, warned Republicans that nominating Donald Trump could be a death wish for the party.
In a Wall Street Journal column published Friday, Rove acknowledged Trump's consistently strong standing among Republicans in the polls, and the impressively high percentage of backers -- 46 percent, according to a recent Quinnipiac poll -- who say they won't stray from Trump before the primaries.
Hitting Trump for his antics -- citing the Republican presidential candidate's beef with Fox News host Megyn Kelly and insults of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) for being captured in Vietnam -- Rove lamented that there's seemingly no line Trump can cross to lose the backing of his loyal supporters, who "eat up stuff like that."
But in a matchup against Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton in the general election, Rove wrote, Trump would get "creamed." He called Trump a "dream candidate" for the Democratic Party.
"Although Mr. Trump's antics may not drive away his current supporters, they make him unlikely to win the White House," he wrote.

I don't think so. Obama has kept Rove, Boehner, McConnell around to parade before the press when he needs to demonstrate "bipartisan" support for his actions.
Hillery will do the same with her captive Republicans.

With the billions of dollars in Obama bucks that have been floating around and evaporating with no accountably, some of it is bound to have found it's way to Rove, who's motto is the same as the rest of the Republican establishment- “if you can't beat ‘em, join ‘em, And then when you do beat ‘em, stay with’em”
First time I agree with Rove, Trump will tank it for the Clintons.
Cruz can defeat Hillary and its time we had a conservative go up against the progressives and take back the country with the real deal, not a deal maker.
Trump will wipe the floor with the witch.

I agree with everything you say up until the last sentence. The Clintons are very well-known entities and it’s hard to imagine there are people who don’t know about their nasty baggage. But for more than 20 years now, people have turned a blind eye. I can’t imagine how Trump (or anybody else) is going to change that.
Karl is all turd, no blossom.
We need to show the Kountry Klub Krowd that they need us a lot more than we need them.
A GOP death wish would be to follow the advice of Karl Rove. Like Trump says, about all “The Architect” has done in recent elections is take big bucks from donors and back losing candidates.

Trump’s not my choice but there’s one thing that’s VERY clear... he could win (and ESPECIALLY against Hillary the Hideous)

I’d rather lose with a substantially different alternative to Hillary Clinton, rather than win with whomever Rove and his GOPe pals would have us nominate.
We’d just end up in exactly the same place - screwed.

Totally disagree. Trump if you look at his style is a great equalizer and we have several cycles of young people and those who normally aren’t politically engaged that don’t have a clue about the Clinton history of corruption. Trump isn’t an angel either but he will force the media to totally focus on whatever thing he wants them to and that is a very powerful thing. They can’t help themselves and he always adds a spin that baits them in like a master.

Rove and the rest of the rinos are scared to death that Trump will get the presidency (assuming they nominate him, which I doubt they will) and they will do what ever they can, say what ever they can to tear him down. If trump wins their “happy corrupt home” will crumble.
