Former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge said Friday that he would not support Donald Trump as Republican presidential nominee â and that "a real possibility" existed that he might not vote at all in next year's election if that is the case.
"I think he is an embarrassment to the party," Ridge, who became the nation's first secretary of Homeland Security under President George W. Bush in 2003, told Neil Cavuto on Fox News. "If he is the man who has the votes, then that's the way it will be."
But when asked whether he would support the billionaire developer, Ridge said: "No. I can't vote for Donald Trump."
For Democrat Hillary Clinton?
"No," he replied. "I couldn't do that either. I know I can't support Donald for a variety of reasons."
"What does Tom Ridge do?" Cavuto asked. "Don't vote at all?"
"A real possibility," the former governor said. "It would be tough for me ⦠, but I don't think Donald Trump will get the nod."
Trump hit back sharply on Twitter:
Donald J. Trump Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump Follow Tom Ridge should be focused on trying to bring the party together rather than ripping it apart w/ your faulty thought process. I will win! 1:37 PM - 11 Dec 2015
Donald J. Trump Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump Follow Tom Ridge is a failed 'Bushy' & PA Governor. Him & his friend @KarlRove shouldn't be allowed to do their bias commentary- nobody listens! 1:49 PM - 11 Dec 2015

However, his 11th had to do with keeping family close. Err can’t divide the family. Family first. Then the enemy, which is socialism, communism, Islam, & globalism (not necessarily in that order).
The GOP had lost their soul, for the most part as it caved to Hegelian semantics and into leftist media manipulation, based upon populism (aka “democrat”). The third party isn’t an option at this point so we must work within the most conservative party we have. Once a controlling conservative majority we can change what we wish with a principled leader, where we can define the terms.

How does being annoying, repetitive and delusional reflect on character?
And is sarcasm really
a character flaw? Or simply one of many methods of expression? I would think that a character flaw would be conduct that is immoral or harmful, not one of many manners of communication. If sarcasm is that bad, you are condemning the entire Jewish people, and a substanial number of the Gentiles. I think it's just something the witless say.
That’s all you have?
OK, I could get seriously thrilled about that :-)
Tom Ridge has many, many serious problems.
He used to be against queer "marriage", but flip-flopped (I believe in 2013) and became strongly in favor of queer "marriage".
He is a nominal Catholic who goes against the Catholic Church's anti-abortion teachings, just like Nancy Pelosi. As someone has said, as Governor of Pennsylvania, he did away with abortion mill inspections, and one result of that foolish decision was the evil, disgusting work of Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell, and his loathsome house of horrors.
Today, Ridge advocates for the Republican party to ignore the conservative "social issues", and just concentrate on his own sleazy, personal money-grubbing economic issues. My own guess is that he is really just a liberal demonic-rat inside, or that Obama and his NSA and other privacy invasion techniques exposed something embarrassing in Ridge's life, and held that over him to pressure him to publicly "change his views" on various issues.
He's a jerk.
i guess I don’t have as much experience as a spammer such as yourself.
Watch and learn grasshopper
I’m not studying spamming. How much do they pay you?
just another confirmation of his slimy underside. wish he’d come on here and read whats said about him.
just another “America Last” worthless globalist POS.
sarcasm can be very harmful. do it to me when I’m being serious and you may end up in the hospital.
Cuck.
Guys like Ridge had their day in the Party, but those days are over.
Move out of the way, old man.
Cavuto and never Trumpers - bad show.
Ah, yes. The old “lesser of two evils” conundrum. I’ve been voting since I was 21 in 1971, and with one notable exception, I’ve never voted for a perfect candidate.
In 1982, I ran for a city council seat and voted for myself. That’s the only time I can say I voted for someone who I agreed with 100%
Hey, moron, why dont you go even further and leave the country altogether...do everyone a favor. I hear they need people to help in Ukraine, Chernobyl needs some workers....oh, sorry, you dont work, do you?
Hoo boy, that post didn’t age well.
In responding to this 4 year old post you revealed yourself to be a violent criminal who responds to words with assault. You’d be well advised not to try that on me, tough guy.
*Clutches pearls!*
It would surprise me if you could fill out a ballot properly, Tom, so ...
