Former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge said Friday that he would not support Donald Trump as Republican presidential nominee â and that "a real possibility" existed that he might not vote at all in next year's election if that is the case.
"I think he is an embarrassment to the party," Ridge, who became the nation's first secretary of Homeland Security under President George W. Bush in 2003, told Neil Cavuto on Fox News. "If he is the man who has the votes, then that's the way it will be."
But when asked whether he would support the billionaire developer, Ridge said: "No. I can't vote for Donald Trump."
For Democrat Hillary Clinton?
"No," he replied. "I couldn't do that either. I know I can't support Donald for a variety of reasons."
"What does Tom Ridge do?" Cavuto asked. "Don't vote at all?"
"A real possibility," the former governor said. "It would be tough for me ⦠, but I don't think Donald Trump will get the nod."
Trump hit back sharply on Twitter:
Donald J. Trump Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump Follow Tom Ridge should be focused on trying to bring the party together rather than ripping it apart w/ your faulty thought process. I will win! 1:37 PM - 11 Dec 2015
Donald J. Trump Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump Follow Tom Ridge is a failed 'Bushy' & PA Governor. Him & his friend @KarlRove shouldn't be allowed to do their bias commentary- nobody listens! 1:49 PM - 11 Dec 2015

Well, hell! That just finishes Trump off. /sarc
So, instead, you give us:
Clinton
Obama
Obama
Clinton
I wouldn't call that very smart logic.
Rolls right off my back. I’m immune to the old standard “you’re electing Democrats” crap.
The GOP establishment elects Democrats when they do everything they can to torpedo Conservatives.
I vote for Conservatives only. If the person in the White House isn’t a Conservative, I can say with complete assurance that it isn’t my fault, because I did MY part.
You're whistling past the graveyard. It is, indeed, YOUR fault.
Who cares what you think, Ridge?
You have sucked at the public tit long enough. Get lost, Tommy.
The republicans are pulling out all the stops to block Donald Trump.
They must be worried that the bribe money will stop.
Anyone who would vote for Hillary.....
This is the idiot who put clothes on naked statues....Huh? When did he do this? I believe you mean Ashcroft. Or Hillary?
“No one should EVER again be willing to accept âthe lesser of two evilsâ when the GOP puts up a bad candidate.”
Exactly.
But isn’t it also interesting that the Saudis and their pleasure goats, the GOPe, are braying at the same time about the demise of the political status quo represented by a Trump candidacy.
I don’t think it’s ever been clearer that the Bush family have been the coffee boys for the Saudis, and their minions have now pervaded the GOPe - a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aramco.
Now that the money is running out, the Saudis can’t buy the influence they once were able to.
Yes, Tom. The professional, real politicians have done so well administering and legislating this country. You and your kind have foweled the nest and someone with an agenda to get us out of this mess by simply helping the country has stepped up. You would continue us down the road to suicide. Crawl back into your hole try for once in you miserable existence listen to the collective wisdom of the people.
Are we waking up in time? I kind of doubt it.
Says Tom Ridge of the clan Rino the in-Significant
He’s Pro-Death.Enough said.
Too bad the leftist media, the fifth branch if this government (entrenched government workers ala Lois Lerner and her ilk being the fourth) don’t report from conservative perspectives
Prayers up!
Ronald Reagan’s eleventh commandment is broken by the candidate with thin skin
Bravo!
Reagan was imperfect. Adversaries need to be neutralized.
As respectfully as I can say this, for all his bravado his actual plans have been slim.
...But I DO AGREE that Islam is our nation’s greatest threat, but we must start when getting leftists out of power.
Respectfully submitted
