Smug Cruz – The Full Recording of Ted Cruz Comments About Donald Trump and Ben Carson… Posted on December 11, 2015 by sundance A couple of short points (because the focus needs to be on his words) about this recording. Initially, when questioned Cruz denied the statement. Secondly, when questioned again by Megyn Kelly (last night) Cruz refused to take ownership of his words. This is a pattern, a long, historic, and very specific pattern. Pay close attention to his words.

Here’s the full audio as referenced in the New York Times article (click orange arrow):

You know what is sad? I seem to remember a time long ago when conservative candidates didn’t “eat their own”, so to speak.

Maybe I’m just old and forgetful, I don’t know. It just seems like the past few election cycles, the conservative candidates tear each other down in one way or another and the establishment candidate just slides on in (and loses). Just sad.

Well, the guy on FOX just said Cruz said Trump is unfit to be POTUS. That isn’t what Cruz said, but the media doesn’t care about the truth.

How does this help Trump or Cruz? but it could be big for Jeb.

Yeah I heard the audio and he does come off smarmy and arrogant almost to the point of hubris but context IS important... He’s talking to private donors trying to get more funds... He is running for POTUS and unlike Trump he cant crack open the piggy bank.

This is politics after all... And Cruz is playing his part.

Also there’s no attack in the audio... All we have to confirm an attack is something the Slimes and Jamie Dupree says he heard from someone...

As far as Cruz and Trump, I like both of them! They are both patriots who love our country and want to see it returned to better days.

Trump is not scary and makes sense mostly.

Some of his supporters have become irrational.

It’s not the fact he said something in that audience. It makes sense. It’s the fact that there was ducking and dodging afterward. If you say it, own it.

Any candidate who does not think they are better qualified should not be running.

Of course, some are delusional (e.g. Lindsey).

"You look at Paris, you look at San Bernardino, it's given a seriousness to this race," Cruz said. "People are looking for who is prepared to be a commander in chief. Who understands the threats we face. 'Who am I comfortable having their finger on the button?' Now that's a question of strength, but it's also a question of judgment. And I think that is a question that is a challenging question for both of them."""""""""""""......

No where in the above comment by CRUZ does he single out any one candidate.....

This argument is ridiculous.

As Cruz says about all of bash him: "Thanks for the Endorsement". Can't get any better than that statement.

Go TRUMP/GO CRUZ........the fights is not between the two of you, but the two of you against D.C.......keep it together for us.

If Trump and Cruz both crashed and burned, Jeb would still have to fight Rubio.

In that case I would hold my nose and vote for Rubio even though he is a weak man who turned his back on The Tea Party.

Preach it Sister! Loud and long. God bless you and our fight against D.C. Not each other. This is SO MUCH BIGGER than one candidate!

Yeah you’re right... I saw the segment on Kelly and he looked very uncomfortable to say the least...

My order is reversed from yours, otherwise agree in full with all your points.

IMO, this is an effort by the GOPe to stir up a fight their empty suits can exploit. It stinks of Rove style, smirking, rat malice.

Search works fine if used correctly. Go to the search function in the upper right
hand corner of either the comments or articles page. Enter a search word from
the title, example Cruz in your title, select title and hit enter. It will
bring up the following......

A primary is a complex competition. Primaries are necessarily messy and complicated to put the candidates through the paces and for them to show the differences between each other. Unity, as well as things like VP and cabinet choices, come much later, usually after the nomination. That’s when uniting for the good of the party occurs.

This primary is different because Trump is a different type of candidate. He cannot be controlled by the conventional methods - media, GOP elites, big donors, big business, and other power brokers. By association, they cannot control the voters who support Trump. They are desperate and are trying many untoward tactics and are planning more in the future.

This manufactured skirmish between Cruz and Trump is part of their slimy and deceptive scheme because their own easily-controlled candidates are not being accepted by voters. They have no recourse except to take down Trump and Cruz, as the GOPe refuses to compromise with the voters’ wishes.

All of this will be ramped up as the primary progresses, culminating in a chaotic convention, if they have their way. While unsettling to some, it is fascinating to watch the dismantling of an out-of-touch party who refuses to accept their evolution.

I agree. This is Rove stuff, trying to find something to exploit. Trump and Cruz like each other. Most Trump people like Cruz and most Cruz people like Trump. This must drive someone like Rove bonkers.

That's nice - when an org has an agenda that doesn't include a certain candidate, then their "stories" are worthless.

Kind of like those who espouse conservatism yet don't donate a jot to actually supporting it.

Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
We need to ensure we don't get another Obama-like America Hater as the next President.
The best way to ensure that is to actively support a candidate as the next President.
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other FReeloader

PS - If you are one of those who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....

GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!

Donate to FR

Donate to Cruz

Donate to FR

It’s a primary. It’s a battle for the best champion. We ‘unite’ after the battle.

What’s next? You want to talk about the ‘need to heal’? Gads - fight the liberal bullshit...

I like Cruz, very much.
Trump has done some great things in terms of highlighting issues the other candidates have avoided.
Would be happy to vote for either.
