I don’t believe it at all...he wants to be President. All these rallies, interviews...he has heart and wants to make this country great again. When he put the parents of children killed by illegals on TV...it was the most amazing thing I ever watched. Finally they had a voice and could honor their children. I guess what I am trying to say is that my heart tells me Trump is for real.

If Trump ran as an independent I would vote for him unless Cruz was the GOP’s nominee.

If the GOP crosses Trump they deserve whatever misfortune they get. They will end up the non party.

With Trump running as an independent and anyone other than Cruz as the Republican nominee, Trump would get my vote. With Cruz as the Republican nominee and Trump running as an independent, I’d be trying to decipher the polls to decide who had the better shot at winning the election. My guess is that it would probably be Trump at that point.

Nonsense. He’d beat Hillary, as a Republican or as an independent. Wait until Huma’s recent “proud Muslim” comment starts to sink in.

And to my mind, that party deserves to be destroyed if it goes against the wishes of its citizen members.

Elitism, RINOism, appeasing, Machiavellian CoC and Big Bidness cheap labor and outright continuous treason and collaboration with Obama and the Democrats isn’t Republican. It’s cowardice and treachery.

Trump will win as an indie. He’ll pull as many dems as repubs.

Trump’s indie win would end the GOP. That’s why they won’t force it.

GOPe would rather continue to exist - although they will be weakened greatly with a Trump or Cruz president. But if Trump goes indie and wins, the GOPe is gone the way of the Whigs.

Exactly right.

And if that occurred, hooray. The GOP destroyed itself, just like the Whigs. The situation is darn near identical.

The Whigs became "me too" Democrats and supported slavery by not ever opposing it. The Republicans today have supported Obama without ever opposing him.

THE OPPOSITION PARTY NEEDS TO OPPOSE.

He could get the Repubilcan nomination and then bolt the party. Anything can happen.

I think you are spot on. How can anyone in the GOP ever suggest someone vote for Trump after the way they’re killing him. And they haven’t even really begun attacking him yet. Wait until the primaries begin.

Wait until Humas proud Muslim comment starts to sink in.

Nails it.

Prolly most people did not know Hillary's top aide is a Muslim....and a proud one, at that.

Imagine how that tidbit would translate into official US foreign policy.

Yes, but we here are not the people that will hand Trump victory if he runs as an independent. We’re the 20% of the vote he’d get. He’s going to need to double that, likely.

[ They will end up the non party.]

I think that’s pretty much what they are now.

Perhaps a better question:

Will the GOPe go 3rd Party?

As Trump & Conservatives retake Republican Leadership.

Poor Donald.

FoxNews reports that in the new polling, Trump is stuck. His numbers haven’t really changed since August.

Oh, so what that his numbers are still more than twice that of his nearest competitor.

Stirwalt thinks the race will be between Rubio and Cruz for 2nd place, and the one who comes out of that will win over Trump.

[Uh, so far, the combined #2 numbers are still less than Trump’s. Oh, Common Core math, maybe.]

Well hell, there’s the upside. Personally I think he would win as an independent, he’d draw just as many votes away from the rats if not more.
