Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump made the shortlist for TIME magazine's 2015 Person of the Year for his "populist rhetoric" in the 2016 presidential election that has "stirred debate about the party's future."
The magazine released its shortlist Monday morning with Trump making the cut among other finalists including Black Lives Matter activists, Russian president Vladimir Putin and Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).Â

“Person of the Year” is supposed to be the person who, good or bad, affected the news more than anyone else in the year.
Love him or hate him, I don’t see how anyone could dispute that person this year is the Donald.
> Go Trump!
That would be “Go, President Trump!”
I am very suspect.
Look who Trumps enemies are. Corrupt Mexico, corrupt MSM, corrupt criminals in D.C., leftist, Communist academia, illegal aliens, Muslims/terrorist and liberal idiots everywhere, mass murdering cartel kingpins, on and on.
Seems we have a few of their allies right here.
If he becomes President I wonder what his impact would be on an international scale...
Agree 100%.
Look who these (handful of) anti-Trump folks are aligning themselves with.
Scary.
Tump Effect will be YUGE, internationally ;-)
Heads exploding at the Capitol Hill Club in 3...2...1...
I could buy that. Naming BLM or Al-Baghdadi as Person of the Year are equal slaps at the US. Time loves that.
I hear the planet Pluto made it too. Water made Time’s Person of the Year shortlist also.

Your sour grapes will make a very poor wine.
It is the sugar that makes the alcohol.

Check this Jane, you go to an international airport like LAX and these folks are flowing out of the arrival terminals...24/7.
They go out to the curbs and the entire airport is encircled with taxis all driven by Muslims and folks from all over the Mideast. And the same thing is happening at airports just like LAX, all over the country.
We're in deep sh*t folks. No joke.
Scary!!!!!
Not to mention the flights coming in from Mexico....that walk right passed customs...in NY....and no telling where else!!
Trump certainly deserves it for driving the election narrative to where the world needs it. Truly he is inspiring others.
Lets see if Time has the guts or brains to do this. They’ll sell so much advertising and magazines. Trump may demand a cut.
Obama could win it, but to be legitimate it has to be the fact that he single handily wrecked the world political and social environment.
The U.S is transitioning from the Roman Republic to the Roman Empire. That’s what Trump will be about.
Can we drone them now?
Just asking....
:-)
It's all about Trump, it will always be all about Trump -- the MSM loves him because he is "good TV," he is a creature of multi-media breeding (Trump's celebrity and billionaire-genius brand image are ONLY of his own making with smart use of PR and MSM -- good in a showman self-promoting so-called "brilliant businessman" who is in truth only third-rate in his own class of billionaire American businessmen, BAD in a President.
You want proof that the MSM will make sure it's always "all about Trump"?
Including FOX news?
Click on the link, which is from FOX news, reporting on a story from The Hill about a Fox News Sunday show late last month with America's premiere conservative spokesman as it's guest.
Rush Limbaugh wasn't going to endorse anyone, obviously, he has always (for reasons of his own which I respect) declined to officially endorse candidates.
Limbaugh said Cruz was "a conservative through and through," "brilliant," "Trustworthy, strong, confident, leader, and somebody on whom you can totally depend." Cruz was the ONLY candidate Limbaugh praised as conservative and dependable. The ONLY ONE.
He civilly and politely wrote Carson off as "not equipped to be president at this stage."
Of Trump, Limbaugh said he was doing a "great service" by "showing that you do not have to fear attacks from the media. He's showing you that you do not have to fear ... violating political correctness."
Factually, Limbaugh's praise of Trump was limited to his handling of the media; his praise of Cruz was STELLAR.
What did the MSM do, including Fox? It made the story ALL ABOUT TRUMP. Don't believe me? Click on the link.
Ted Cruz could come in ahead in the polls tomorrow over Trump, and the MSM would still spin it as all about Trump. It is very sad and difficult, but it is also a probable truth. Only time will tell, of course, but the MSM is what it is, and that's its MO. It MADE Trump, it can control him and create whatever image of him it wants.
Ted Cruz is the only guy in the race worth voting for. It will never be "all about Cruz" regarding the MSM. It will ALWAYS be "all about Trump." Even when Rush Limbaugh, arguably the most famous conservative spokesman in the world, had high praise for Cruz as the real conservative in the race, the MSM made it all about Trump.
Be prepared, and if you plan of voting for Trump, be prepared for very steep buyer's remorse if he wins.
The magazine released its shortlist Monday morning with Trump making the cut among other finalists including Black Lives Matter activists, Russian president Vladimir Putin and Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).What? No San Bernardino shooters?
Yeah, them or the ISIS guy.
Gee Finny, this works out great! Fantastic!
The MSM covers Trump while Trump publicly calls the MSM a pack of corrupt manipulated liars on a daily basis and the MSM loves him?
A Trump win win for sure!
