The best guy to keep watch on things is the one who already knows the systemic weaknesses, and can advise on them. The Donald does not make all this up in his own head, nobody is that smart. But a battery of smart guys, trading ideas and checking for defective reasoning in each other’s assessments, can come up with a list of strategies that serve well in the vast majority of situations.
