No, we don’t. Like the founding fathers and inherent distrust of aquisitive power.

Blind squirrel, without the intent.

Oh, I believe in ‘government’ in a fashion. I don’t TRUST this government one bit, however.

How could we not believe in government when it obviously knows what's best for us and has such brilliant designs to manage our global society?

At a news conference last week in Brussels, Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of U.N.'s Framework Convention on Climate Change, admitted that the goal of environmental activists is not to save the world from ecological calamity but to destroy capitalism.

"This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution," she said.

Referring to a new international treaty environmentalists hope will be adopted at the Paris climate change conference later this year, she added: "This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model for the first time in human history."

No Chris, it’s because you don’t believe in government.
The Second Amendment (Amendment II) to the United States Constitution protects the right of the people to keep and bear arms and was adopted on December 15, 1791, as part of the first ten amendments contained in the Bill of Rights.

“Government” is just other people, not an incarnation of god.

Matthews is really stupid.

Does he think I believe government will protect me from violence (and it is mostly blacks committing the violence)? He is an idiot.

You're damn right!

(Stick this in the file under "A Clock That's Not Working Is Right Twice a Day").

Government is a necessary evil. Necessary, of course, but also evil. It enforces its power through violence and threat of violence.

That's why it must be kept small, so that the people can manage it.

It attracts the power-hungry like a magnet, and it corrupts in direct proportion to its size and the magnitude of its power.

The American people are NOT going to surrender their only means of protecting themselves and their families to a government that will not protect them, refuses to protect them, and seeks to prevent them from protecting themselves.

The Founding Fathers foresaw the threat that government would pose to the American people, their rights, their liberty, and their security and wisely gave them the means of protecting themselves and their families from domestic and foreign enemies, potential enemies, and possible enemies.

The American Resistance has been armed and prepared since 1776.

Why does anyone even pay attention to what Mr. Tingly Legs thinks?

It is the liberal who doesn’t have faith in moral principles. The ideal Progressive society imposes an ever-changing morality via coercion from the top-down. Everyone must conform or the must be eliminated.

Vote Progressive!

Our nation is divided with a division that ensures its collapse.

Half of our nation believes we should adhere to the Constitution. For the most part, these are a moral people, and who generally have a belief in God.

Half of our nation believes we should NOT adhere to it because it is antiquated, out-of-date, and written by rich, old white men. Geraldo is one of these. Generally, these are people with “anything goes” values (anything but Christian that is), and who are not people of faith - atheistic or religious in name only (e.g., Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi)

These two sides are at war. The anti-constitutionalists are clearly winning and have been for a long time. The vast majority of those employed by the government are in this camp, and using their power daily (e.g., EPA) to make our government more and more unconstitutional. RINO’s are in this camp.

Even if Cruz is elected, he is limited in what he can do and we will see the other two branches of gov. rise up and take back the power they have given to Obama.

A nation without law will come to anarchy, chaos, collapse.

Only divine intervention can save us.

For all their posturing as our moral superiors, to Progressives true benevolence is the worst cruelty, objectivity is the greatest distortion, facts are lies and reality itself must bend in the service of their collectivist agenda.

Yes. The Founding Fathers did not trust a centralized, all-powerful government and instituted the second amendment to protect us from a tyrannical government.

Chris Matthews asked if resistance to gun control and the amount of guns in the US is because "we really don't believe in government"?

Over one hundred million people killed by their own governments in the 20th century - but they promise to be good in the 21st.
