A Philippine court on Tuesday convicted a U.S. Marine of killing a Filipino last year after he discovered she was a transgender woman in a hotel in the Philippines while he was on a break after participating in joint military exercises in the country.
Lance Cpl. Joseph Scott Pemberton was convicted of homicide by first strangling Jennifer Laude and then dunking her head into a toilet bowl in the hotel they had checked into after meeting in a disco bar in Olongapo city, northwest of Manila. He was sentenced to 6-12 years in jail, with time already spent in detention credited, said court clerk Gerry Gruspe.

Now I'm inadvertently deleting whole sentences unaware. I meant to write, "His (the tranny whore's) responsibilty was so stop selling sex. His (the horny Marine's) responsibility was to stop buying it."
It's like peering at the multiplex writhings of slime-worms and trying to calibrate which was first, and which was worst.

Tricking someone into thinking your are female when you are male ought to be a crime of sexual assault, especially when it goes far enough to get the person into a hotel room.
"Tricking?" If you choose to participate in the procurement of prostitutes for sexual purposes (which you obviously approve of) then you deserve everything you get and more.
But that does not give you a license to kill the individual you rented simply because you found they were packaged in a way you disapproved of..........

THAT, dear lady, is why I read FR.

"If being a sinner means you deserve whatever crimes others want to commit against you..." then the tranny deserved to be murdered. But that, you may notice, is not my position. It is the position of the people I am arguing against, the ones who are defending the homicide as deserved and justified.
May God have mercy on the souls of the living and the dead.

No problem here for the Marine did him a favor. After all, Transvestites can’t multiply (but the can be fruitful...if you know what I mean) and as hard as they/he/she/it humps guys children and gals, nothing will come (excuse the pun) of it.

Yes, if the dumb ass wanted to refer to the pervert as a woman he should have used “Filipina”

“legally irrelevant to his criminal charges”
You are just plain wrong.
It remains rape by fraud.

In a court of law, rape has frequently justified murder.
Would you like a list?

Also, I imagine it is very difficult to show premeditation in a case like this.

But the dumb ass is a dumb ass, and probably doesn’t know about that distinction.

No jury around here would ever convict him. Some things just need killing.

The usual standard for use of lethal force in self defense is "immediate threat of death or grave bodily harm".
A forcible rape certainly rises to that level.
A fraudulent transaction committed by a prostitute (and I agree, the whore committed fraud) does not. Where is the threat of death or grave bodily harm? There is none.

No thank you, a whole list is not needed; just a single case that would instantiate your claim: that if a client pays a prostitute to perform a sexual service, and the prostitute performs said service upon the client as agreed, the prostitute is guilty of rape if he/she failed to preemptively disclose that he/she may not be the expected gender --- thus justifying homicide.
If the whole incident were not so repulsively ugly, it could almost be the beginning of a joke:
"A Marine walks into a Filipino disco bar, looking for a woman of integrity..."

Saw a shipmate with a he-she in Spain. It took four of us to convince him that wasn’t what he thought it was. Alcohol is a hell of a drug.

“With all the prostitutes in the PI itâs just bad luck he picks up a tranny.”
Well, maybe it’s a sign of the times. I spent a couple years in Thailand. Go for the flashy ones who are all over you and you never know. There are good working girls who won’t rob you blind, though they may not catch your eye.

Let’s pretend that you’re not a saint and have picked up a woman in a bar with the intent of having sex.
If you discover the deceit after “it’s too late”, what is your reaction?
Rage?
That would be normal.
