'They want a puppet that they can control, Donald will never be that person'
Although Donald Trump has signed a pledge to support the Republican Party's nominee, that doesn't mean the party's establishment will support him, should he win the GOP presidential nod.
A report by the Hill suggests the big money Republican donors are actually looking to support Hillary Clinton for commander in chief if Trump is at the top of the GOP ticket. Yes, the Democrat Hillary Clinton could be getting millions of dollars from Republicans.
The website says: "In conversations over the past month, GOP establishment donors have confided to the Hill that for the first time in recent memory, they find themselves contemplating not supporting a Republican nominee for president."
When asked for whom he would cast his vote if the choices are only Mrs. Clinton and Trump, the former mayor of Los Angeles and a longtime Republican establishment figure, Dick Riordan, said: "I would probably go find a deserted island."

Trump\Cruz or Cruz\Trump. Either way..we the people will win.
Which excludes Trump, who is not a true conservative.
When it comes to overall donations, Trump - who has donated to BOTH parties, in states where he has businesses - is a piker, when you compare his $1M (overall, throughout the years) to other PAC/campaign donors.
Edit for clarity.
Which excludes Trump, who is not a true conservative.
Better let the boss know that. You do know that JimRob has listed Trump’s policies and pointed out just how conservative they happen to be, don’t you?
It is not about "tone" or anything like it. It is about buying access and having a say in the process of corrupting the nation. To do that they must curry favor with someone who will sell them favors for money.
Trump has said he won't do that because he is richer than most of them, and he doesn't need to. But Clinton will be happy to play ball with these scumbags, cut them in for a price, and they will be glad to oblige her regardless of what happens to the nation.
Sen. Ted Cruz. He needs to start his real inspiration, of all voters. His fire is lacking, in a major area of obvious concern.
The quiet conservative demeanor is a no-go, particularly in these times.
He does not have the charisma, to carry his commitment/confidence to the majority voters, who do not weigh every speech/comment or legislative action on every little idealism.
The Charisma is key, to winning the emotional vote. Otherwise, no real voters turn out, and we get a low blow to humanity.
World War.
“I’m wiser now. I realise that if Mitt had won, we’d have shamnesty for sure, and (yikes!) 4 more years of Mitt.
“
Amen.
If more people would just admit that, even only to themselves, we could begin the process of building a solution to this mess.
I voted for McCain to get Palin. I was wrong to do so. It only empowered the GOP. I drew the line at Romney. Never will I let a POS like that, or his ongoing to this day minions, get away with liberalizing the right without fighting them all tooth and nail.
If I ride lightning because of it, so be it. I simply don’ care. There is a right and a wrong. And I am not afraid or ashamed to know which is which.
“These elitists donât see the big picture. When Trump wins these elitists will have no input on policy and legislation.”
Oh, I think the elitists DO see the big picture and are VERY well aware that they will have no input on policy and legislation. That’s what’s got them completely the fuche freaked out.
Does the fact that Cruz’ wife worked for Goldman Sachs have anything to do with it?
But the slam at the "GOP establishment" (in the headline) is clarified only in the body of the article itself: It is actually only major donors from the "GOP establishment" that are threatening to walk away, should Trump become the party's nominee.
What’s your full thought, on that?
Yes, the Democrat Hillary Clinton could be getting millions of dollars from Republicans.
Heck, they’d just be following Trump’s LEAD if they gave money to Hillary.
Touche!!
I’m a Cruz supporter but will support Trump if he win’s the nomination.
And why Trump better have a LARGE team of Ex Seals/Delta on his payroll.
They hate the Jeffersonian concept of a self sufficient citizen. Way too dangerous.
You are preaching to the choir....
Perhaps but there’s a whole section of singers about 6 semitones out of tune.
