On the day that a gunman attacked a Colorado Planned Parenthood facility, Mike Adams was in North Carolina.
Yet, Adams, a criminology professor at the University of North Carolina Wilmington notorious for his anti-abortion and Christian views, was on the receiving end of an inquiry from a fellow professor who wondered about Adams' potential involvement with the shooting suspect.
"Did you correspond with him Mike? Maybe inspire him a bit to complete his mission of murdering a university officer and 2 civilians?" Richard Greenleaf, a sociology and criminal justice professor at Elmhurst College, a private liberal arts school in Illinois, wrote in an email to Adams after the attack.
Greenleaf attached the mugshot of Robert Dear, the suspected gunman who killed three people when he attacked the Colorado Planned Parenthood, to his email. The subject line of the email read, "Another Mike Adams inspired nut case."
According to Adams, the two professors have never actually met, but he has received many emails from Greenleaf in the past. A columnist for Townhall, Adams has even shared one of Greenleaf's unsolicited emails regarding a class syllabus. Adams told TheBlaze that Greenleaf regularly sends him emails to ask about his involvement any time there is a mass shooting or tragedy.
"The fact that a professor would email me repeatedly accusing me of being involved in multiple murder conspiracies is truly mind boggling," Adams told TheBlaze. "The fact that he is a criminal justice professor moves it beyond parody. Greenleaf falls short of any reasonable standard of professional competence. His conduct is simply inexcusable."
Greenleaf told TheBlaze that his inquiries into Adams' involvement with tragedies of this nature stem from his writings at the conservative news site.
"Rhetoric has consequences," Greenleaf simply said.

The Blaze??? Are you kidding me??? And I’m suppose to believe anything from the Blaze????
“Notorious” seems an odd choice of word.
More like one would see in the NYT or any other mainstream Leftist publication.
How about “well-known”? “Prominent”? Or maybe “principled and fearless”?
You use the term “nut” freely. “Slavery had the nut John Brown...” What do you mean by that statement and do you really know Brown’s history?
“Rhetoric has consequences,” Greenleaf simply said.
He’s completely deafened to all the harmful rhetoric of secular humanists.
Secular humanists are people who believe there is no God, and so they’re not sinners.
They only make “mistakes,” according to them, and “correct themselves” when they realize they do.
They’re “morally okay” themselves, so the evils, real and imagined, they see others do, make those people less than them in their eyes.
They believe that there’s objective reality, and then people have their subjective views, but their own logic checks out to them, so they believe their subjective opinions are special, and should be taken as objective, and not just their opinions.
They will be dishonest in every way possible because they define themselves as honest and logical, so it’s impossible for them to do anything otherwise.
True discussion in our country between Christians and secular humanists has ceased.

No, I know nothing about John Brown. I just go around FR commenting on subjects I know nothing about. Sort of like you, I guess.
Dr. Adams clearly has a higher threshold for this kind of nonsense than I do. I don't know how a university differs from a business in this respect, but after three or four of this kind of missive from another employee, I probably would start forwarding them to human resources.
His father’s obit said he (father) was in the military, attended The Citadel. Sounded very respectable. The guy has a child who he raised, according to his ex. He has a degree from “a midwestern college”, according to his ex. He was an art dealer. What happened to him along the way, I have no idea. Seemed to be a typical loner. Lived in Black Mountain and had property of some sort in Swannanoa. I wonder why he ended up in Colorado? The pot maybe?
What I am really curious about is why the first name out there on police radio was Hamilton Williams. It was repeated and I am not the only one who heard it.
This FB page belongs to a Hamilton Williams. Notice he defends PP and sounds very liberal. Where did his name come from???
The entire episode is very strange. And if victims were shot by cops, will we ever know?
Only pro abortion speech is protected by the 1st Amendment./sarc
I am no fan of conspiracies, and idiots like 9-11 truthers and Sandy Hoaxers send me through the roof, but there is a lot here that needs to be unpacked. Something just doesn’t seem to add up.
What did the prolife professor do to warrant the qualifier “notorious”?
However, he consults WITH China AGAINST Chinese protesters. Not much for freedom, is he?
From the Elmhurst site:

Greenleaf Professor Ph.D., University of Florida Dr. Greenleaf, the founding director of the criminal justice major at Elmhurst College, is a former police sergeant in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and executive director of the Community Policing Institute in Oregon. Dr. Greenleaf is a member of the American Society of Criminology and the Association of Chinese Criminal Justice and Criminology.
Depends on what you mean by “art”. Some people think porn is art.
I agree. Very strange.
Greenleaf sounds like a passive aggressive puss.
Just sent a note to Elmhurst College President Dr. Larry Braskamp, thanking him for making it so easy to cross Elmhurst off the list of the three college-bound kids in my house! Thanked him for giving tenure to folks like Dr. Greenleaf! lbraskamp@elmhurst.edu. Every time a college appears in the news, lately, I have been letting the college president know my own thoughts on the story at issue. I know they don’t care, but SOOON there will be a shortage of kids for all these pricey, small liberal arts schools.....
They announced the other victims’ names, but not much else.
I read the AT piece this morning....and it is very peculiar.
The fact that the writer has uncovered are pointing to the guy being a democRAT, though we won’t kow that for sure.
You used the term, “Slavery had John Brown.” I asked what you meant by that statement. How does that make me one who “knows nothing about..?”
You guess? You can’t answer my question, so you accuse me of commenting on subjects without knowledge?
Twist and Turn, common tactics of losers.
I just saw it on a Townhall link. Thanks.
