In the headline, the MP stands for Member of Parliament - Mister Hastie was elected to the Australian Parliament in September this year (a mid term by election to replace a member who died).

He joined the Australian Army after the September 11th attacks - he has said he was disgusted at anti-American sentiment being expressed in one of his university classes the day after the attacks.

He served tours in Afghanistan as an officer in the Armoured Corps, and then again later, after he had been selected and trained for the Special Air Service.

Islam cannot be changed. Either you follow someone and their teachings, or you don’t. If you don’t like the teaching of mohammed or allah, then you don’t follow them (assuming you have a choice).

Suggestion to muslims - read the quran, learn everything about mohammed. Then read about the God of the Bible, and about Jesus. Choose, then, who you would rather follow.
