A 7th Grader Wouldn’t Back Down When Her Teacher Told Her to Deny God. Then Came the Backlash.
Independent Journal ^ | 28 Nov 2015 | Jed Smith

A Texas girl spoke out after her teacher alleged made her say "God is a myth," has experienced fallout for standing up for herself and her beliefs.

Twelve-year-old Jordan Wooley says she has been bullied and told to kill herself following media coverage of her story.

It started when Wooley's teacher assigned a quiz at Katy, Texas's West Memorial Junior High School asking students to label statements as "fact, assertion, or opinion."

Statements included "America is the most free country on Earth," and "there is a God." Jordan labeled the latter as "fact,' and her teacher told her to mark it otherwise, or face an "F" grade.

The Katy Independent School District claimed that it never happened and that Wooley's story could not be verified. But Wooley would not relent, calling the school board "liars," and demanding an apology in a statement on Monday.

Could you imagine the backlash if a teacher had attempted to force her to mark the existence of God as a "fact"?

The fact that the teacher was forcing an answer of "myth" proves this was indoctrination, because any rational person would know that the answer was at least "opinion" based on the number of Christian practitioners in the world today.

Absolutely eliminate the budget for government schools. That’s what I said.

As for vouchers? What gives government the right to take money from one group of people at the point of the gun and hand it to YOU?

Educate your own children.

It’s simple to do, more now than ever.

Go to the link to get the teacher’s name. One bit of info says it’s the teacher who’s page has disappeared.

Teacher should be sent to north Korea to teach the kids in the concentration camps for a few years to see what the result is of having an atheist government control every thought.

Tough kid. Good for her. Leftist totalitarian teachers are like cockroaches. Turn on a light and the run away and hide.

Did not know that about the Donald.

I like him a little better now.

Ronald Regan could not kill the Department of Egorance the year after it was created.

If Donald can achieve what Ronald could not he would have my greatest respect.

Questions about God or Allah are best avoided in all situations involving minors.

Common sense says duh. Nevertheless, they do it anyway, and we know why; they want to corrupt, indoctrinate and pervert children.

‘Certain’ teachers? You may have a little trouble deciding where to begin.

Maybe Ronald Reagan could not achieve many of his aims because we as Americans were much more trusting of our government and naïve than we are now.

Now many people are seeing that Washington is corrupt, whereas a few years ago few people would have dared to think that. America is corrupt in a polite, gentlemanly way not in a banana republic, third world way. Our corrupt leaders are very Machiavellian, they smile and they are polite. After 200 years they managed to gradually take over the Republic the old frog in the cooking pot way—gradually so that we would not notice. They almost got away with it.

Anyone who has the means and is sane has likely already removed their children from the government run kinder gulags. So more than likely the majority of those whose children attend this looney bin are OK with it.

Another story that would never be reported on the networks’ national/world news broadcasts, which are unduly powerful in choosing the news and events considered to be of the highest importance, and constructing what’s considered to be the truth about them.

Good on her!

The crazy libs in this country are showing themselves to be the concentration camp killing lunatics that we’ve known them to be for some time.

One day soon, “re-education” may be in order for such beliefs.

God exists and is more FACT than this so-called “reality” we live in.

To think the NEA published The American Citizens Handbook from 1941 to 1968. It quoted scripture and included important Anerican writings. Today, a teach would be fired for having if in class. From the Forward:

“To be a good father, mother, brother, sister, or friend;
To be a dependable, faithful, and skilled worker in home, school, field, factory, or office;
To be an intelligent, honest, useful, and loyal citizen, with faith in God and love of fellowman;
To recognize the brotherhood of man and to live by the Golden Rule –

I can understand, and it sounds like you might mean MSM news sites, from your use of the word “visit.” I actually mean the half-hour national news broadcasts. While there’s probably millions of ways for people to get news these days, so we’re all hearing about different things, the half-hour network broadcasts decide what is considered the most important news of all.

In the Ahmed Mohamed case, they all gave it prominent coverage, while selectively distorting it into a story that ultimately promotes the secular humanist agendas.

I believe we have a responsibility to listen and watch the MSM, and partly to respond to them. Satan is the ruler of this world for now so that’s not so that Christians can somehow rule this world, but so that we can be the lights we’re supposed to be and have the victories here that God has ordained for us. The alternative, too, is to allow secular humanists to work towards their goals unchallenged.
