Karl Rove says Donald Trump may very well win the 2016 Republican presidential nomination.
But the influential GOP consultant and policy adviser, in an exclusive interview with Newsmax TV, adds the billionaire developer's acidic attacks on his fellow candidates could hurt his chances.
"He's taken the lead - took the lead in July and held it. He's got a chance to win the nomination," Rove said Wednesday on "Newsmax Prime" with J.D. Hayworth.
"His challenge is, he's created a high floor, but a low ceiling. It's sort of hard to grow when you've taken on the habit of excoriating everybody else in the race calling them 'losers' and 'clowns' and 'morons' and personally belittling them."

FLASHBACK: via Mark Levin and Breitbard... Trump: Rove is a clown and a loser
http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/07/15/trump-hammers-clown-rove/
Karl Rove is a clown and a moron.
Rove and Newsmax along with the mags stable of GOPeahens are proving to be irrelevant, a good thing.
How many have called Trump a clown and worse?
==
Rove’s hypocrisy is showing.
....or drying out (again) at Betty Ford.
My guess is she’s just resting in her crypt, waiting for sunset.
If Trump should happen to win the Republican nomination, it will not help his cause if he has insulted and alientated most all of his opponents and their supporters. His style puts off as many people as it attracts, and probably more so. It doesnât bother his hardcore supporters (the âhigh floor/low ceilingâ), but it does bother many outside that group, including many conservatives.
A long way away.
When you think about it, Karl Rove has been campaigning against Trump since the late 90s.
Everything Trump stands for, Rove disagrees with.
Karl Rove is the face of the GOPe.
They’ve hated what Trump stands for since before, during, and after President Ronald Reagan.
His crude style is frequently annoying right now. However a common story with Donald is that after he’s punched someone down for punching at him, he doesn’t keep it up if the attack does not continue. He knows how to forgive. This is not someone who is pouring out vitriol just for the sake of it.
I personally wouldn’t choose to carry on that way, but sometimes there is a need to push back and Donald is doing it in the way that he knows. And a lot of people are appreciating him for being honest to his heart.
I think, at worst, the jury is still out on Donald.
Progressives are never taken to task for referring to conservatives as bible-thumping, gun-loving,
knuckle-dragging, unthinking morons.
And, it is abundantly obvious, that in movies, criminals are many times wearing crosses as they do evil, and riding around in cars with plastic images of deities on the dashboards of their cars.
One day, all the secularists who have engaged in calumny, libel and slander will be sent scurrying for the exits like cockroaches confronted with insecticide.
One day they will just GTFOOH and go to their nearest beloved totalitarian utopia.
IMHO
Influential? Yeah, when I was in my early 30s. I’m 47 and as I’ve gotten older, he’s gotten MUCH more unimportant.
I understand that completely - now. He figured out our foibles and our innermost desire to do the most good against the evil that is Democrat, and to try and unite against a commonly perceived enemy. Only we didn’t realize the real enemy is Rove and his PAC cheap labor express.
The truth hurts, eh, Squealer, er, Karl?
Animal Farm - (Squealer: A porker pig who becomes Napoleon’s mouthpiece. Throughout the novel, he displays his ability to manipulate the animals’ thoughts through the use of hollow yet convincing rhetoric.)
Because only he can?
...I thought they were running against Dems?

The truth is they are trying to prevent the citizens from electing a President who will enforce the laws and borders.
They have been very successful so far. We have only been offered amnesty candidates since the last amnesty.
Suckx to be you Karl.
Why? It’s the truth.
Rove called Trump an “idiot.” How is that different, Rove?
