Is Trump-mentum finally slowing down? While this is only one poll and the GOP establishment is still in panic mode over Trump's continued lead, a Reuters/Ipsos survey released Friday shows the GOP frontrunner lost 12 points in less than a week, "his largest single poll-to-poll drop since he took the primary lead in July," The Hill reports.
The rolling poll, which was conducted from Nov. 23 to Nov. 27, still has the real estate mogul at the top, finding favor among 31 percent of Republicans. However, support for Trump is down from a peak of 43 percent, which was registered on Nov. 22.
Reuters points to some of his recent controversial remarks, which may be to blame for the drop.
The dip follows criticism of Trump for comments he made in the aftermath of the Nov. 13 Paris attacks that killed 130 people and wounded hundreds more.
Following the attacks, Trump told an NBC News reporter that he would support requiring all Muslims within the United States to be registered to a special database, which his critics have likened to the mandatory registration of Jews in Nazi Germany.
Trump has also been criticized for flailing his arms and distorting his speech as he mocked a New York Times reporter, Serge Kovaleski, who is disabled.
Trump mocked the reporter as he defended his unsubstantiated assertion that during the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on the United States, he watched on television as "thousands and thousands" of people in New Jersey cheered while the World Trade Center fell.
But it wasn't only Trump who slipped in the poll. Ben Carson also dropped with only 15 percent of Republicans saying they'd support him.
At more than 8 percent, Sens. Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz tied for third place, followed by Gov. Jeb Bush, who came in at 7 percent.
That's exactly right. And this sort of wicked propaganda should not be underestimated by the Trump folks. Trump can shake off a lot, but eventually some of this will stick.
Trump has got to start thinking a bit smarter. It's not fair, but that's MSM reality.
Yes sir.
Cooking the polling books 101.
Decrease the numbers polled and only include those geographic areas likely to give the desired result.
If someone like me can figure them out, are they stupid enough to think they are fooling anyone?
I have been using that label for Trump supporters for months - didn't even know Hume used it. It is short-hand so I don't have to write "Trump supporters" over and over again. If you want to refer to me as a "Cruzer", feel free. And if you want to get offended by the term "Trumpkin", you are free to do that as well. I have noticed that many Trump supporters get offended by just about as many things as the SJW college students do...
As I have said all along, polls this far out don’t mean a whole lot. Talk to me after the first Primary. Even winning Iowa doesn’t mean much.
I see nothing boorish and arrogant about Trump. He stands up for himself and he competes. He is not a wall flower and he as so many accomplishments that e is a very talented man.
Trump gets results and he is proving it. If you have been around very high achievers they are all like that.
Are you still backing the Huckster?
My first impression of this 12 point drop is that it is manufactured. There is no reason for the drop.

“to argue that the other polls were wrong and that Trump still had a big lead.”
Isn’t that what you Cruz supporters have been doing for months?
...”There is no reason for the drop”....
Ha! Even Trump said he expected drops in the polls.....so of course there’s reasons.
I've been around and associated with lots of very successful people and not all are like Trump, as a matter of fact most are not...
Pretty humorous you see nothing arrogant about Trump...he practically oozes it...
I'm not knocking him for it, just a fact... it works for him...
OH so that’s how she got her job....well, well, well.....
If you are only going to accept the poll results that reinforce what you already believe and reject anything that is contrary to that belief, then you are going to be like the Romney supporters in the last race - completely shocked when the results are so different from what you think they should be...
Just as one polls shows a candidate “losing” support has to be taken with a grain of salt, so does a poll that shows a candidate “soaring”. A better indicator is to take the average of all polls, state-by-state, nationally, rolling, internet, etc., and you, at least, have a gauge. is it 100%? Hardly.
One last thought...would any of the other candidates switch their position in this poll with Trump? In a NY second, they would.
Had Cruz produced his FS-240 yet?
Wacko poll, anyway. It also claims 50% increase in Carson support from 10% to 15% in TWO days! That’s simply not possible in reality, so the poll has to be garbage.
Hell, maybe most polls are now, anyway. Seems like no one in Colorado has a land line anymore, and nearly everyone has found effective ways to avoid being contacted by anyone except those they wish to communicate with. Which leaves those very elderly desperate to yack with anyone who will talk with them and the totally clueless. I know the recent Quinnipiac poll here made very little sense.
Whistling past the graveyard.

At this point I agree. Polls have ups/downs, errors, etc but it this continues in a
downward trend then the political winds are shifting. To whom we don’t know yet.
LOL!
If the COMPLEX should succeed to knock down Trump, your guy is cake.
The playbook. It works every time. Until TRUMP, that is.
Chortle on that.
It only the girly men and feminazis that think Trump boorish and arrogant. The rest of us see him as a man proud of what he has accomplished and defending himself when attacked.
