Carson had lost ground in the days immediately following the terrorist attacks in Paris. Just two days ago, Carson was in 4th place with 9.8 percent, behind Donald Trump and Sens. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX).
The latest tracking poll, covering November 22-27, finds Donald Trump first with 31 percent, followed by Carson with 14.9 percent. Sens. Rubio and Cruz are tied with 8.4 percent each. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is 5th, with 6.5 percent.
According to the updated numbers, Trump has lost most of the polling bounce he received after the Paris terror attacks. Following the attacks, Trump saw his support explode to almost 43 percent, up sharply from the low-to-mid 30s he’s held over the last two months.
Daily fluctuations in tracking polls should always be viewed with some caution, as they are built on a small number of interviews conducted each day. They are very accurate at assessing overall trends, but numbers on a particular day can be overstated.
This is especially true when the tracking period includes a major holiday like Thanksgiving. Friday’s tracking numbers include Black Friday, Thanksgiving, and the day before the holiday, the biggest travel day of the year.
On Wednesday’s tracking poll, for example, businesswoman Carly Fiorina had 2.9 percent support. On Thursday and Friday, though, she registered no support. Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) registered zero support as well. Meanwhile, former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore earned 3.2 percent support on Thursday and 2.8 percent support on Friday.

First I would think that if you would want folks here to know you, that you would provide some information in your account. But, it seems that both of you declined that so I will just have to guess.
I do not have a “great” problem, but I do have a problem with him. He says things that are a bit “shall we say” out of the realm of normalcy. No, I have not picked on him nor have said anything that is abnormal but he on the other hand has - and you have no problem with that. That is okay by me, it is your prerogative to do that. He on the other hand seems to be a bit of a religious fanatic (my description) and wants to judge folks by that standard. My decision to decide who and what I appreciate here.
So, you are deciding that you (that’s okay since you are deciding for yourself) that you don’t like my decisions (as I like to decide for myself) and that is okay. You have the same right as I do! Isn’t that a wonderful thing?
Well, yeb? has twice as many voters as does gilmore; 6.5% to 2.8%, go yeb?
There is another slant story about this same wonderful Reuters poll that said that Trump plummeted by 12%, thereby will lose the election quickly. Gee, I guess reporters feel it is their ‘obligation’ to educate voters in the way that they want the outcome to be...
Trump 31% and Carson 15% doesn’t sound like a whole lot of “bouncing back” to me. Carson still has a long way to go to get close to Trump at that rate.
But still bad news for Cruz and Rubio. If they cannot surge past Carson they will never catch Trump. Personally I don’t see a chance of it happening. We are into the holiday season already. People stop paying close attention to politics again til after Jan 1st. Then the Iowa caucus will be almost upon us and NH right after. Trump is in the drivers seat.
The polls are all over the place (except Trump still leads) and I don’t trust Reuters at all.
Repeating your very worthy post...
From Sundances Conservative TreeHouse
1299 respondents: Trump 40%- 11/19
981 respondents: Trump 38.5%- 11/20
636 respondents: Trump 42.4%- 11/21
464 respondents: Trump 42.9%- 11/22
441 respondents: Trump 42.6%- 11/23
381 respondents: Trump 38%- 11/24
362 respondents: Trump 37%- 11/25
358 respondents: Trump 31%- 11/26
346 respondents: Trump 31%- 11/27
Notice how Trumps numbers significantly decreased once they began to lower the sample size?
Name me one candidate, including Carson & Cruz & Rubio, who would’nt kill to get to 31% in any poll!
How much did Rove’s big buck GOPe’s pay for this poll?
Whatever they paid, was a bad investment for their side.
During those years, I have posted many things which have allowed many people to know me and many have liked what they saw. Obviously you don't remember me, but that's okay...I don't remember you at all.
An awful lot of posters have not ever posted anything at all on their home page. Funny that you have such a problem with this. LOL
I have no idea why you imagine that the other poster is a "religious fanatic". He hasn't EVER, to my knowledge, posted anything at all that would lead you to believe this. All he has posted to this thread, is that his immediate family and circle of friends don't include any Seventh Day Adventists, nor other such sects. This is hardly an unusual statement !
You obviously have a great problem with others' simple sentences and statements of facts. Poor widdle you....
If the poll which had Trump at about 43% was a Reuters poll then IT was an outlier and this latest poll is in keeping with the majority of other polls
Carson looks like he’s been prescribing himself something. (Note the often sleepy glassy eyed look)
Down 16% = a bounce?
Bouncing up & down behind the leader = losing :)
geez, all these weeks i’ve been wondering if he’s seeing a shrink and being prescribed medicine, when, hello, he’s a doctor!
But human nature being what it is, dont you think someone would have sold that information by now?
If you’ll pardon my intrusion on the discussion of Carson and religion, SDA’s are taught Pacifism. Until the draft and Vietnam made it almost impossible, SDA’s only served in non combatant roles in the military. Carson did not want a military response to 9/11. I know he tries to talk tough from time to time, but I do believe his Pacifist beliefs would alter his judgment as Commander in Chief.
