Colorado Springs police responded this afternoon to reports of an active shooter at a Planned Parenthood facility:

6 P.M. UPDATE:
Multiple news outlets are reporting fatalities in Friday’s shooting at a Coloraod Springs Planned Parenthood building. Gazette news partner KKTV reports that a University of Colorado at Colorado Springs officer was killed; 9News in Denver reported that one offficer and one civilian are dead.
Saw it on CNN website.
At another location or near the PP strip mall site?
At the top of the hour, the blonde lady in the red dress and the man in the plaid shirt both said it.
At the main site presumably, which isn’t all that far from UCCS.
Information flow always rough during these things, but this seems more so than normal.
Until I see something more conclusive, this looks like some nutjob attacking a PP.
I agree. So many conflicting reports and witness statements. Changing narratives as well. Hope to get the truth at some point.
Yeah, that would be a tough call for LE...how much to let out if they have limited info.
I went back and read the timeline from the local Gazette and the PP thing doesn’t make sense to me yet.

A few years back, Obama on phone to Joint Chiefs: "Tell ST-6 to take no chances, Bin Laden dead on arrival. And one more thing, dress him according to Islamic law and give him a heroic western burial at sea with an honor guard."
( Okay, I'm guessing on the honor guard, but would it really surprise anyone? Not me. )
Calling what goes on inside Planned Parenthood “murder” could possibly incite the crazies among us to this sort of behavior. If your neighbor decides not to have another child, and visits a Planned Parenthood to have an abortion, that is different from your neighbor coming to your home and shooting your child. The second situation is murder and deadly force is clearly called for. In the first, perhaps a personal conversation with your neighbor would be appropriate. The crazies out there are not capable of such discernment.

As you point out, this is a very strange situation. If he hated PP why did he shoot cops but didn’t hunt out employees and patients of PP. It almost seems as though he took over PP, planted bombs but decided not to kill anyone face to face or to detonate his bombs. Yet he still shot at and fought the the police?? Odd.
If the shooter wanted to target Planned Parenthood he had every opportunity to do so, instead he shot mostly at cops(Killing one of them) the majority of the injured are police so this whole scenario sounds like a bank robbery gone bad. Around the holiday season is when bank robberies are up, so makes sense that he tried to rob a bank on black friday, and if reports are true that the gunman “Appeared young” doesn’t sound like someone who was targeting PP, unfortunately most young people today are taught to love abortion in school, this sounds like a robbery that was foiled
I am glad he surrendered- maybe we will get the real story someday.
