Back and to the left.....back and to the left....
Back and to the left.....back and to the left....
Seems a non-sequitur to conflate hours-long storytelling with seconds-long news footage. Comparing the blockbuster money machine _Avatar_ with accidental pictures of a presidential assassination just doesn’t ... I can’t even come up with a term for the comparison to denounce precisely because they’re incomparable.
It’s a good choice. That film will live in infamy for another 50 years and more.
What ever happened to the ‘other’ film that was discovered back in the 90’s(?) taken by someone else, from another vantage point, and had been locked away for decades in someone’s camera in the attic?.......................
The assassination would not of even happened in Dallas if the alert SS had not broken up the early and mid November, very similar to Dallas’s motorcade, plots in Chicago and Tampa.
52 years have passed.
We all saw what happened.
But we still don’t know what really happened.
I don't know if I agree with his conclusion, but he makes a very good case for it.

You can easily see the single bullet on frame 224 as it makes Connelly’s right hand coat collar pop out. Always was one guy with two bullets.
I’ve always wondered why Jackie climbed on the back of the car. A recent documentary explained that she was trying to collect the brain mass.
For me, the photo (not certain if there was a moving video) of the thug shoving a nasty weapon in Elian Gonzales’ face was life changing and I realized America was gone. I vomited. I will never forget that.
The only thing tragic about it is that it allowed Lyndon Johnson to win the Presidential election. He then set us on the road to financial ruin with his "Great Society" vote bribing scheme.
Kennedy deserved far worse than he got for leaving those Cubans to die on the beaches in the Bay of Pigs disaster. A disaster he caused by not telling those brave Cuban freedom fighters that the United States would not use it's Air force and Naval assets to suppress Castro's forces, even though they told them they would.
Kennedy's government deliberately lied to those men, and destroyed any chance they had of winning even before they left.
It is as a result of this failed invasion that Castro demanded Soviet Nuclear rockets be placed in Cuba to deter future aggression.
We never would have had the Cuban Missile crises if it were not for that incompetent Amateur stealing the election from Nixon.
No, Kennedy deserved a lot worse than what happened to him. Thousands suffered and died because he wasn't man enough to pull the trigger on Castro. Millions might have died if things had gone slightly differently.
The WTC 9/11 films had a greater impact on me, personally.

Boomer arrogance? Laziness?
What actually changed?
And what did the film clip do or cause?
Didn’t see Neil Armstrong landing on the moon among the candidates.
Of course that would make America look good, and we can’t have that.

Pretty weak hypothesis. There were millions of Americans involved in live combat in WW2 only 18 years earlier, and if you've ever seen the pictures in Time and Life magazines from WW2, the pictures are often very graphic. Burnt Japs running out of caves, piles of dead Germans. I don't think the graphic images of JFK would have been a singular turning point. His death, coinciding with the baby boomers coming of age and a general relaxation of morals and standards, combined to give us realistic violence.
