2007 Fort Dix attack plot

A group of six radical Islamist[1] men, allegedly plotting to stage an attack on the Fort Dix military base in New Jersey, United States, were arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on May 7, 2007. They were subsequently charged with planning an attack against U.S. soldiers. Your second link is the most amusing. Even if you accept the author's definition of terrorist incidents and come to the conclusion that roughly 65% of the death toll from such incidents in the United States are, indeed, committed by non-Jihadi motivation, it is still a stupid argument.

Muslims make up about 1% of the U.S. population, meaning that they are about 35 times more likely to commit one of these incidents than all the crazies, whack-jobs and other brands of extremism from every other demographic combined. That's pretty darn significant.
