Dr. Robert Jeffress, Pastor of First Baptist Dallas, addresses the Paris attacks and shares how Christians should respond.
...GWB really stepped in it in his post 9/11 speech to Congress—there is no peaceful or moderate form of Islam...
Dr. Jeffress has endorsed Cruz for President.
I gave my opinion of the speaker's style which I find distracting and off-putting. I have never heard this person speak before and did not care for it.
"Before I begin this morning, I feel like. I need to addressssssss the tragedy we all witnessed this weekend. In Pariss."
You also have a right to form your own opinion - which is apparently different than mine, and that okay. They haven't yet taken that one away from us.
Go, Cruz, GO!!
Just watched this.
Oh, my.
I’ve never heard of this guy, but I LIKE him!!!!
I’d like to have a transcript. I’d do it myself but am not up to my pre-retirement 110 WMP typing speed.
Hope The Donald has seen this video.
He’s from Texas.
One time a long time ago I made a comment about not liking a weather guy’s accent. Turned out the people present were good friends with him and offended. Ooops.
Another time when I was very young and working at a bank in the drive thru, my fellow drive thru teller said “What do you think of that car” (it was a very high dollar vet). I said, “I have never liked those cars.....on and on and on. She said, “Have you seen my car?” And pointed to a silver vet which was one of the great loves of her life. LOL. Oops.
Another time, while living in the L.A. area years ago I won tickets to many previews of movies. I saw “The Woman in Red” that way. My friend and I stopped off to potty in the theater bathroom afterward. We were both in stalls and I said “That was one of the worst movies I have seen in a long time.” Another voice from another stall said “Which movie.” We said “The Woman in Red.” We heard the person scurry on out of there. We left the stalls, washed our hands and walked out the door which was right in front of the concession stand. The concession worker said “Hey, you were just in there with Gilda Radner. She just left just before you came out. Oops.
I have more examples. You are entitled to your opinion. I don’t have to like it. All true.
So's George Bush. So's Ted Cruz. So's a lot of friends and personal acquaintances. None of which hiss when they speak.
This fella and The mulatto at 1600 - who isn't from anywhere near cowboy country - are the only two that come to mind. It's one of those things some people find annoying and some people can ignore.
I didn't mean to hijack this thread and we've beaten this horse about to death. Have a pleasant evening, FRiend.
Well, I gave my examples to say that I have said similar things before. I didn’t enjoy offending people though. It was an accident. Who really cares if a person’s accent or style is not so great if the content of what he says is excellent? Conversely, what is it to me that his accent is to you like fingernails on a chalkboard? Not a big deal.
You have a pleasant evening, too.
