Two days after the horrendous jihadist attacks in Paris, Pope Francis preached about the âend times,â encouraging his hearers to be vigilant and ready at any moment to meet God face to face.

The global warming is just the increased presence of the Holy Spirit. Dark beings hate the light as they fear it will destroy them!!!
The Pope is somewhat correct.... End of the world as we know it. Soon time for Heaven on Earth.
Your priest did not improvise, personalize, or mention Paris?
The pope talking about the end times...not good.
“I do not remember the Pope speaking out about the recent slaughter of Christians...”
You weren’t listening. When the first Christians were beheaded, he spoke out loud and clear about our “Christian brothers” being killed and has kept speaking about the slaughter of Christians.
Got 'er covered, Boss.
Well, yes, WWII kind of gradually turned into WWII, that’s true. But I don’t think you could call Hitler’s invasion to Poland WWII and maybe not even Hitler’s invasion into France. It was a world war when the great powers of the world were fully engaged in war. That’s not us yet.
But I do see the all the elements gradually coming together along with casualties. To me, all previews of coming attractions.
I mean, somebody could say, WW-Whatver began/begins when the Bad Guy comes out and says something like, “Common, I dare ya. Do you feel lucky, Punk?” like ISIS is doing now. But I think we’ll squash ISIS like a bug once Trump gets in there, like we did to Osama and the Taliban. So we never really know until later, which spark will have been the ignition to literally blow up the world.
End of the world? Then why is he so vocal about Climate Change?
Liberals never make a lick of sense.
Obviously, I did not hear it as clearly as I did globull warming.
“Your priest did not improvise, personalize, or mention Paris?”
We had a Bishop, not our regular pastor as he is gone overseas. Now, a Bishop is a big deal, but not one single time did he mention Paris, and I thought he should have, at least in one prayer. If he had mentioned Paris, however, he would not have said the end is near based on that happening.
“You must have thought he made that up when you say he is wrong.”
I was referring to his mis-application of scripture by taking scripture out of context with the rest of scripture.
Quack, waddle
Marxist Jesuit parrot duck.
Next?
“The pope talking about the end times...not good.”
He was speaking about the return of Jesus and that was the subject in every Catholic Church today and is every November.
Just so. Anyone who went to Mass today would have heard readings about the end of the world. It’s that time of year.
A lesson I learned from my grandmother...when all is going to hell, find some humor....works every time....
“End of the world? Then why is he so vocal about Climate Change?”
He was speaking about the return of Jesus and that was the subject in every Catholic church today and always is in November.
I think so too, one prayer!
“You must have thought he made that up when you say he is wrong.”
I just read your post #79, “The premise of this thread title is bogus as though the Pope thinks the end is near right now...”
If your understanding is correct, then I believe the title and the article lead me to misunderstand the popes application of scripture. In other words, I would now concur with the pope, based on your clarification.
This is why I try not to get into discussions with what the pope says or doesn’t say, or what articles says he says or doesn’t say. It seems there is generally quite a lot of misunderstandings.
I am sorry I stepped in it.....
I have always coped with humor. I have been known to not shy away from crass jokes at "terrible times".
I've become old enough to do both: anger at the right "people" and appreciate humor. :) God bless.
It's the reason I am concerned with Russia in Syria to be frank about it.
After the events in Paris on 11/13, I will be adding this
to my posts for the next week. I'm certain our turn is
coming again soon. We stand united against Islamic
extremists.
