Donald Trump, speaking at a rally on Saturday in Beaumont, Texas, suggested that fewer people would have been killed had more civilians been armed.
"When you look at Paris, toughest gun laws in the world, nobody had guns but the bad guys," he said. "Nobody had guns. And they were just shooting them one by one, and then they broke in and had a big shootout and ultimately killed the terrorists. And I will tell you what--you can say what you want, if they had guns, if our people had guns, if they were allowed to carry, it would have been a much, much different situation."
Trump's comments echoed one he made following the attacks on Charlie Hebdo in January, when he tweeted, âIsnât it interesting that the tragedy in Paris took place in one of the toughest gun control countries in the world?â

Make sure your firearms are ready to protect you and yours wherever you are. Democrats are ready to disarm you. Islamic terrorists are ready to kill you here.
How’d it work out for those two muslim bozos in Texas?
obama was sad that day.
After all, the crusades. or something.
Lafayette, we are here.
We are armed.
i usually carry smaller in the winter but upped my carry from a GLOCK 26 to a 19. will be having a recoil therapy session am morgens.
Dammit, Trump. When are you going to learn that common sense ain’t so common anymore.
Trump was right. Bottom line, government cannot protect you from criminals or terrorists. We must all be prepared to defend ourselves and our families. Especially with a lawless government that refuses to control our borders and control who comes into our country. We’re in the midst of a government sanctioned/approved alien/cultural invasion. Hell, they’re even importing Islam/Muslim soldiers now (jihadists)!
Arm thyself!
While you have a fighting chance against mass shootings carrying a firearm will not protect you or others from suicide bombings. The most effective protection is keep Jihadists out of your nation, state, and city/town.
A big "if" here in California, where Guv Jerry Moonbeam Brown and his lib friends have enacted several new laws lately to restrict open carry. Now it's hidden carry and hope you don't get caught. The bad guys don't worry about it. Restrictions on carrying in vehicles. Firearms are restricted in your home if children are present. I think if crap happens here like in Paris, more people aren't going to worry so much about illegally carrying. Weighing the risk, etc. Entanglement with the law versus death from bad guys. Wish our "leaders" respected the Constitution, but that's a wish that won't come true.
They had a jihadist with a pump shotgun killing people one by one in that theater. A lot fewer could have died.
These guys blew themselves up after they were cornered by the police. It would be possible to shoot them before they could reach their detonator.
Notice in there he says “we” as if we Americans and the French were brothers. Trump is identifying with the people inside the theater. I find that rather charming.
The most deadly thing is VBIED’s (vehicle bombs). The second is large suicide vests where the terrorists places himself with a crowd in front of him and detonates.
I have carried for over 20 years and there is no doubt a firearm can be used to minimize a mass shooting or idiot with a knife, but look at the history of Israel. The most effective attacks have generally involved explosives and they are the hardest to stop.
Again, denying jihad Johnny access to the target via immigration is the most foolproof way of preventing this. I don’t take anything away from the 2nd Amendment, but our focus must be on defensive immigration policies.

It’s more difficult to kill people when they’re shooting back. It’s even harder to take people hostage when they have guns.
Too bad they didn’t have at least of couple of Americans nearby: chances are the murderous swine would have been stopped before the massacred - like the French train incident.
