ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz on Friday vowed to suspend a program that gives work visas to highly skilled immigrants, reversing his position on the program as part of an aggressive immigration plan designed to appeal to the GOP's most conservative wing.

Is he trying to steal Trump’s immigration plan now?
Well since Cruz has put his forward in detail and you haven't we can't really know that for sure, can we.
Where's your plan, Marco?
When Romney did this we called him a flip flopper. Times change I guess.
To my knowledge Trump hasn't put one forward.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
This is what Cruz has always believed. You are taking literally the shaming amendments Cruz used to kill the Gang of Eight bill in 2013. Desperate times took desperate measures.

Of course you’re right, but don’t bother.
They aren’t listening - they’ll be on the next thread, making the same damn false charge.
Nice timing on his change of heart. Likely some Trump voters are casting about right now for another candidate.
I think the Cruz campaign is starting to hit a good stride coming around turn two.
This guy Cruz could be headed for the Triple crown!
Trump is not opposed to legal immigrants with high skills. Cruz is moving in on the Trump banner, but EVERYONE knows who raised it, and that it is Donald Trump who owns it. :)
LOL!!!
The intellectual dishonesty is strong with this one.
I refer to H1b quotas. Cruz has been a stalwart on border jumpers.
I’m stiil behind Cruz though I think this is really just a jailhouse conversion. Good to hear that he’s listening though. Sent him email through his website the other day about this very issue.
Having said that I do not care which politician addresses the problem as long as it finally gets address.

Thanks.
BTW I see Trump proposes sending criminal aliens home. What about the rest? Hasn’t he been talking about mass deportations, like Operation Wetback lately?
Trump promises the impossible, to forcibly deport 11 million to 30 million people. Cruz declines to deliver up impossible promises but at least has the good sense not to aver that it cannot be done.
Trump would let some unspecified number back in upon some unspecified standard. Cruz does not specify beyond criminals whom he would deport.
At least with Cruz we get a conservative.
