Gosh, Marky, you're right - Michaelangelo's Mom nursed him and slapped him on the butt so you really can't say he did the Sistine all by himself.
Liberals. Drop 'em in a maze with all right turns and they'd starve to death.

Is Dr. Carson not popular with black Republicans?
On one level he is correct. No American has ever been a self-made person. Every one has had a mother and a father (in most cases, married to each other).
But there are plenty of examples of Americans who started with nothing or very little and made great successes of their lives--Benjamin Franklin, Cornelius Vanderbilt, Andrew Carnegie and a host of others.

Appearing as a guest during the 5:00 p.m. hour of CNN Newsroom with Poppy Harlow on Sunday, liberal CNN political commentator Marc Lamont Hill declared that "the greatest lie in American history is the myth of the self-made person" as he answered a question about why GOP presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson is so popular with white Republicans. Well, if somebody made everybody, then I think this moron has grounds for a lawsuit.

Or even better, start rubbing either two hands or two braincells together yourself and make something.

We have reached the stage in this country where we are inundated with trash like this, under the assumption by the writers that sheer volume will convince people that it has to be true.

What about the self made flatulence?
To: Maceman
How ridiculous! The adage, “a self made man” simply refers to one who has worked hard and exceeded their expectations or risen above their inherent obstacles and hardships to a lofty position.
It doesn't mean that the “self made man” didn't benefit from the existing infrastructure.
The left is desperate to tear down concepts of self reliance and personal achievement. All good must flow from the state, not the individual.
