This is Free Republic. Our mission here is to fight against the America-hating, God-hating, Christianity-hating, Jew-hating, capitalism-hating, abortionist/homosexualist, leftist revolutionaries and marxist/fascist totalitarians who are hellbent on destroying our constitution, our religious freedom, our economic freedom, our Judeo-Christian way of life and the America we love.
Please do not succumb to or aid the left's war on religion.
Catholics, Protestants, Evangelicals, Jews, etc, are not the enemy. ALL conservative pro-life, pro-family pro-America believers in our one true Judeo-Christian God are our guests, friends and allies in this effort, so please don't attack your allies!
Attacks on religion are not going to convert anyone.
Please save your ammunition for the enemy.
We're on a mission from God! We're putting the country back together.
If you do not agree with our mission and do not wish to cooperate with our efforts, then please log off and post somewhere else.
Thank you all very much!
God bless.
Thank you Jim!
It’s getting harder and harder for me to be optimistic about our nation. I still have hope for individuals to come to Christ and have him make a difference in their life. For the nation as a whole, however, I think we’ve crossed the line of no return. There IS that line. Israel before the Babylonian captivity after the nation split and Israel rejecting her Messiah at his coming. Of course there are many other examples in God’s Word of both individuals and nations reaching that place.
America is enshrining evil in her laws now. That is a very big deal. If that can’t be turned around, and soon, I have no hope for our nation. I don’t see a political solution (like a Cruz presidency, as much as I hope for it) to what is a moral/spiritual problem. I know there are many godly people across our nation that fast and pray, that try to vote for men and women of character for public office. There just seems to be less of them. A recent Pew Research poll would indicate that it is, in fact, true.
We are at a desperate time and the near future does not look bright. Those that stand for righteousness are cultural enemies to the dominate culture and I believe that will remain in the future. We are called to be faithful to Christ regardless of the cost. Actually, the scriptures teach that it is indeed an honor to suffer for His name. I don’t think saving our country should be our main focus (don’t flame me folks, I’m not saying everyone is doing that) but our focus should be on being faithful witnesses to the Lord Jesus in an increasingly hostile environment.
We are going to have to become the Church like never before - where real spiritual discernment will be a key survival skill and with our focus becoming more singular. If our country repents and makes a U-turn or if godly individuals once again occupy places of authority in government and culture, I will rejoice with all of you. The likelihood of that happening is extremely small. If it happened, it would most likely be a short pause on the way down. Of course, I would like a “pause”, especially for my grandkids. But we have to be realistic as to the signs of the time. Islam is God’s judgement on our Judeo/Christian backslidden Western world. Our mission remains unchanged, we are to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom - as I think we can say with some certainty that we may very well be at the beginning of the End of the Age - where evil increases exponentially with no abatement. I’m not trying to be depressive but an accurate assessment of our times and predicament is important if we are to redeem the times.
Blessings to all who hold the faith with a pure conscience and who long for and love His appearing.
And if God is WITH us, who can be AGAINST us?!
No thanks are necessary for me who has sadly only been a user until now. Just so you know it was you personally written and heartfelt plea that I conveyed to my better half that made all the difference. A personal message from you beats any graphic and I know it will touch many.
Indeed.
Much as politics sucks and is evil incarnate, we should try to remember that it is not of God. Our Lord had nothing to do with the evils of caesar.
I’m optimistic. Things are good when you step back from our poisonous political culture.
Thank you for posting this, and for providing a place where the rest of us can discuss what’s truly important (as opposed to a bunch of mainstream media nonsense).
I have said to some before that if a 1st century Pharisee was running for office today we would vote for him. For you can be a conservative and no be Christian, though you cannot be a Christian and not be a conservative.
For you cannot divorce doctrinal beliefs and commitment thereto from moral values from contentions for them, and the stronger the former then the stronger the contentions for the latter.
However, you can hardly expect them to not contend against what they see as errors of faith even while they both contend against immoral and unAmerican values.
And to disallow that would be inconsistent with American values. It is more harmful to allow them to judiciously post on their faith and allow for debate while they both contend for other conservative values, or to censor such? It seems forbidding that, or to favor one side over the other would result in lesser numbers of committed souls on FR.
Yet when you have a group which wants to use your FR as a news and promotional site for an elitist church, while demanding you to silence all who challenge its claims and who post on the predominate historical faith of America, then such is neither proChristian nor proAmerican.
Respectfully, daniel, in your backyard by God's grace.
How about just doing the best you can without becoming disrespectful, hateful or in your face obnoxious? Is that too much to ask? And I’m asking that of everyone. Do unto others...
While I concur with much of your post, the RCs I personally know, I do believe have a belief in Jesus Christ for salvation.
I also think they are grossly misguided into a worldly system of theology, but they don’t get away with anything for that worldliness. I know I’m wretched and hopefully not as bad as many I observe, but indubitably, we share one thing in common. Whenever we sin, it begins by first and immediately when we’re out of fellowship with God.

That is certain reasonable, but as the wise RF moderator rules warn, things can get hot in the kitchen, thus it is not for those who are faint of heart (nor flame, or only want to give attack but cannot take challenges).
And doing unto others means turning the other cheek when insulted, yet I do not think this meant doing so to attacks on doctrine and principles, whether by liberals or those whose allegiance is to men above the word of God.
But i agree the the primary purpose of FR is not to foster theological debate, and the daily posting of articles on provocative views distinctive to one faith (which one group is esp. prone to do redundantly) can sometimes result in more heat than light, and more smoke then fire.
. I would propose (not that FR is a democracy and you are asking for a vote) that such articles of provocative views (like Purgatory, SS) be limited to maybe 2 per week by each side of major approved groups. As it is, since the censor of last July such articles have almost exclusive been by Catholics (Purgatory is Based on a Promise of Jesus, etc.).
Thanks for allowing reasonable debate thru the years (which i think made FR more popular) under the best mods in the business (my opinion), and for dialog on this.
Thanks largely to MSM, I see evidence that America is NOT turning back to the Bible!
Are you still killing your unborn? -- GOD |
Didn't you people learn ANYTHING from the smoke of SODOM?

I have a slightly different take on that...
Revelation 20:4
And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony about Jesus.
That's Isa Al-Masih for you Muslims reading this...
The Freedom of Speech; which allows us to critique other religions; is fairly important too.
When we are allowed to converse; in accordance with the dictates of our conscience; outside of the limits that what the 'law' says; is probably an important right as well.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Powers other than Congress can set their own rules.
No thanks. If you can’t do as I’m asking, just stay away from the Religion Forum. It’s not intended for people to be trashing each other.
Indeed, esp preventing expressing the religious convictions of those which once were those of the predominate faith in America, due to a certain group which seem to long for a unAmerican theological or ideological monarchy.
