ABC NEWS Updated 15 mins ago Louisiana State Police charged two law enforcement officers in the shooting death of a 6-year-old boy and the wounding of his father.
Norris Greenhouse Jr., 23, and Derrick Stafford, 32, were charged with second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder in the shooting in the city of Marksville on Tuesday, Col. Mike Edmonson said during a news conference late Friday. Jeremy Mardis was killed and his father, Christopher Few, was left in critical condition.
The shooting happened when the two city marshals allegedly opened fire on a vehicle following a pursuit, said Edmonson.

Why don’t fathers and children have the same last names any more?

Brother in law used to be a cop. He says the BLM movement and mayors all over the nation are pushing for new ethnic hiring for cops. He says these “recruits” show up with pants down to their knees like they just got out of prison.

Many of my acquaintances over the years have had children with different last names. As to where the children came from, a common theme was, the original father and the kid’s mother met in bars and both were probably drunk. They had wild animal sex and mistook that for love. Some of them actually married and then discovered that they had nothing in common. Either one or both were alcoholics or drug users, which also tends to break up a relationship.
One of my retired friends has a 30-something son with children by a woman who became a heavy drug user. They divorced and he married a woman addicted to pain killers who had two children by somebody else. He’s trying to make this one work and I’d say he’s putting up with stuff I wouldn’t. He’s told her if she gets high again and gets arrested he’s gone.
So, in answer to your question, some of those children’s last names are due to drugs and alcohol use.

In Oakland, a black female city council member has attempted to “increase” the percentage of black police officers by trying to change the “requirements” for blacks making application. Unfortunately for her ( fortunately for the city ) state law controls the requirements. For Oakland, it’s East Oakland where all the crime is, and East Oakland is ALL Minority. As for your commrent about gang association not being a disqualifier, I don’t think, based on what I know that that’s true.
Even so, the father’s name should be on the birth certificate and the child should have the father’s last name. I understand different last name than the mother.
Some gangs make sure some of their young members keep a clean record.
Then they apply for cop or prison guard jobs (and get them).
Now we got insiders, for multiple purposes.
I predict the DOJ will step in and declare the charges racist and demand they be dropped.
