The student who stabbed four people on the campus of UC Merced was identified Thursday as 18-year-old Faisal Mohammad from Santa Clara, Calif., the university confirms to Fox News.
"He had a smile on his face, he was having fun," a construction worker who helped stop the attack told CBS 47.
Campus police shot and killed Mohammad, a freshman computer science & engineering major, after Wednesday's attack. Police detonated his backpack and are testing a substance inside, KGO reports.
The four victims are expected to survive.
Authorities are investigating a motive.

Yup. We’ve been there. The response stopped just short of blasting the memorial off Stone Mountain, and stopped there because there WOULD be a violent backlash. Instead they’re currently moving to subtly desecrate it in other ways evoking conquest.

I was watching some old movie on Netflix (a few years old I’m guessing). They said we had stopped 52 terrorist attacks on NYC alone. Who knows.
I’m guessing that keeping them on their toes in the ME also had an effect.

I’ll be curious to where he went to madrassa uhhhh school and what mosque he attended.
I see the sarc tag, and know you are being sarcastic, but I am willing to bet some cash, that this will be the eventual "reason" for this mass attack. He was living in a white man's Christian, mean, oppressive world. Discriminated against constantly, and therefore it is completely reasonable for him to have gone on a terror attack, attempted killing spree.
This will be part of the "blame laying". Trust me. This is California.

Kristen Halliday, UC Merced freshman, told the station she and a group of friends trapped in their dorm room above the scene saw the bomb squad.
‘They did detonate something. We heard the sirens and then they said, ‘fire in the hole’ and then it detonated.’
