Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) is a conservative candidate for President. He just announced he’s leading an effort in both houses of Congress to OFFICIALLY list the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization.
With major support in Congress, this legislation would force the State Department and other federal agencies to determine if the Muslim Brotherhood officially meet the requirements to be a terrorist organization… which they most certainly do!
However, "if the Secretary of State determines that the Muslim Brotherhood does not meet the criteria," it must submit to Congress "a detailed justification as to which criteria have not been met," according to the bill.
Muslim Brotherhood affiliates as well as the group's members have been listed as sponsors of terrorism in the past by the U.S. government.
The terrorist group Hamas, a longtime Brotherhood affiliate, has been sanctioned for some time.
The organization garnered international headlines after its rise to power following a coup in Egypt that took down its longtime former leader. While in power, the Brotherhood cracked down on opponents and waged violent campaigns against Christians and others who opposed the group's radical ideology.
Five countries-Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Russia-already consider the Brotherhood a terrorist organization.

Senator Cruz opined, “This bill puts the lie to the notion that the Muslim Brotherhood is a peaceful political organization that can be a legitimate partner for America.” Then he added, “In 2008, the Justice Department successfully prosecuted the largest terrorism-financing trial in American history arguing that the Muslim Brotherhood directed U.S. affiliates such as the Holy Land Foundation to provide 'media, money and men' to Hamas. That support was used for terrorist attacks against Americans and our allies in the Middle East. When they are capable they will try to do the same thing here.”
This is a major blow to the Obama White House, as the President has been unusually close to the Islamist organization which temporarily took over in Egypt after the “Arab Spring.” The White House has hosted senior members of the Muslim Brotherhood, and the State Department has announced they wouldn’t be opposed to future meetings with the terror-supporting group.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s chief aide Huma Abedin has been a long-time suspected Muslim Brotherhood supporter. And it appears the White House has been infiltrated by the organization.
While I support this smart campaign move by Sen. Cruz, his action still has many constitutional hurdles to overcome. Formidable hurdles include a predictable veto by a lawless president, a veto that the corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification Senate does not have enough votes to override.
Future history does us little good today. OF COURSE the Current Occupant and Herself were fully complicit in the present state of affairs, with the various branches of Islam being the source of virtually all the terrorism in the world today. But we are reduced to depending on Russia to prop up a “moderate” form of Islam (Alawites) as the holding action against the more radical affiliates and franchises of the Muslim Brotherhood, while embracing the Qods Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran, representing the Shi’ite branch of Islam.
Herself and the Current Occupant have tied their fortunes to the elevation of the Muslim Brotherhood to some degree of legitimacy. Therefore, they MUST support ISIS, however discreetly.
Something like trying to apply a Shinola spit-shine to a piece of fecal matter.
And it also brings attention to the issue today for the lofos.

Isn’t Hillary’s Huma related to Muslim Brotherhood supporters ? Only Cruz is brave enough to point out the betrayal of our security by the Obama administration.

Yep and it seems the president is like a clandestine member himself or at least a sympathizer and supporter.
Cruz is setting the table for the general election. Hillary will have to defend Muslim terrorists and their less violent supporters and backers. She will have to defend the killing of Americans in Benghazi and embracing a terrorist group at home. She looses big!
Cruz is thinking a few more moves ahead of the pack.
Why don’t you handle this piece of legislation for Trump.
UM...Trump is not in the Senate, or House. A little hard to sponsor legislation if you are not elected....
