It's interesting that the Russian ex-pilot is named Smirnov. I'm not sure I want to fly with him.

From what I’ve read I think you’d be hard pressed to find a sober pilot over there.

The NYT just wants to stir up stuff, to sell their dead trees.

As in all these events, time will tell...maybe...if governments penchant for secrecy doesn’t get in the way like with the TWA shoot down. Oops, I meant fuel tank explosion.

“Mystery Deepens” translates to - ADHD US media isn’t being given info by Russia or Egypt fast enough to prevent them from becoming hysterical.
By day 3 of such a disaster in the USA, CNN would have been 72 straight on the story, the trial lawyers would have swarmed and we’d already be reading human interest stories about the transsexuals on board who had to overcome their fear of flying in a cis-sexual world.

Smirnov is almost as common of a surname in Russia as Jackson or Wilson is in the United States. Not as common as vodka, grant you, but common enough.

Correction to my post #7. It is actually more like Smith or Jones,
this source says it is
the most common surname in Russia.

“...with company executives ruling out technical or human error only to be upbraided by aviation officials who called such assertions premature.”
Don't forget the obstruction of the NTSB investigation into Egypt Air flight 990, by the Egyptians.

I will wait for a report from a real news source.
To: Poser
This is new.
The airline of the jet that crashed into the Sinai had not paid its staff in over two months, Russian news agencies have reported.
The widow of the doomed jet’s co-pilot, Sergey Trukhachov, said that he had not been paid for three months.

Yes! but it is reported by the NYT. Therefore, before you believe anything it must be vetted as to what the NYT is trying to project or to protect. How will it benefit the democratic mafia? where any Christians involved? Are there any direct or indirect enemies of the United States? etc.
I wish I could say this is a {sarc} post, but it is probably true.
