Royals 7 Mets 2 in 12 innings
I didn’t say I don’t like celebrations. They woke me up. But I enjoy hearing everyone so happy.
Woulda, shoulda, coulda. But he didn’t make a good throw, did he.
They will go to bed sad because “Jesus Land” is rejoicing.
Tigers fan says...Congrats World Series Champions, Kansas City Royals!...great team, great group of players who wouldn't be denied.
There will be lots of Monday Morning Q Backing. The great players who got the Mets to the series- Murph, Cespedes— even deGrom, just shut down. They must feel terrible.
The Royals were the better team. Congrats to them. Evidently the first game in April is Mets and Royals!!
Who peed in your wheaties? People are happy and have something to celebrate. What skin is it off of your nose?
I am not sure the decision was fatal but I do agree it was a bad call. Terry let his emotion cloud his judgement. But I have to say, as a die hard Mets fan, that I really doubt we could have won the series even if we won tonight’s game. The Royals really are the best team in baseball. They consistently out hit us, out pitched us and out fielded us.
They won, because they deserved to.
I must have come across differently than I intended. I enjoy hearing people happy. It is more than I would do over a baseball game but at least it let me know who won. I have nothing against the celebration. I think it is rather cool. Silly, but cool.
Who is KC? And world champs at what? I need more info. ;)
I moved to NE Kansas 12 years ago and in that time I have listened on the radio or watched in person or on TV to probably 1,500 Royals games. So I'm probably pretty biased but the logical, objective side of me has thought the same thing the entire season.
Please don’t lump me in with those two idiots. (BTW, it might be 3 idiots, but I can’t tell who the one on the left is.)
Regards,
PS: I doubt very much that Michael Moore is a Mets fan. He’s from MICHIGAN, for heaven’s sake! I’ve seen dozens of pictures with him wearing a Tigers hat. He just went to the game to have a photo op. Or he’s on a date with the odious Bill Maher.
I have been a KC fan since 1955 when the A’s came to town. I suffered through 3 straight Royal’s losses to the Yankees in the 70’s, a World series loss in 1980 and 2014. Winning in 1985 and 2015 is a small price to pay for 60 years of rooting for a team. I was one of the people yelling and screaming. Deal with it.
I wonder how the players feel about the mega-innings games. I would guess they are just happy it is not a loss, yet. I can say from the perspective of the TV staff that it is HORRIBLE. My husband used to work sports events a lot. Baseball was easy in some ways, he was usually in charge of the video replays, but he grumbled about the games that went on and on. He was paid overtime, so it wasn’t too big of a deal, but still...I always think of him when the games go really long.
Ah, keep yelling and screaming. That’s a great fan story.
You sound just like my uncle. Wait..maybe you are my uncle.
Good news.
My fiance wont be stuck in traffic during some stupid parade.
took me four hours to get to work once when the yankees won.
I’m sorry dad, i know you were a die hard. :)
I want one of those blue hoodies they’re wearing. I’ll celebrate with a shirt rather than with a scream.
All World Series games should be played as the Super Bowl:
a nice warm stadium [Hawaii] so the bats don`t fall apart after a bunt.
Congratulations to the Royals.
