Hey all, I certainly wasn't expecting to be posting a vanity like this when this morning started. Mrs. Doomonyou and I moved to Texas a month or two ago fulfilling a five year dream to get out of CA for a red state and God answered big time. We're still getting moved in and the new job is going great. As a result of getting out from behind a desk and out in the field I'm away from a total A hole boss. Anyway, I dumped about 18 pounds just being more active and out of the stress. So two weeks ago I'm starting to feel kind of bloated and full all the time and tired due to having problems falling asleep. I've been eating as much as comes out the backside which isn't Much. This morning I saw my Doc, had blood, urine work and a CT scan. Wasn't sure what to expect.
LOL! They did the same thing when I had my thyroid out a few weeks ago.
I called it a ‘negative Brazilian’ on my chest.
I’m told that in Brazil a Brazilian is called an Adolph...
Keeping you and your family in my prayers.
Thank you for the update. So glad your mom’s there. Prayers continue.
Prayers up!
Best wishes Jeff, and prayers up for your and your family.
Just a short note.
I've had the best four days in six weeks since that fluid was pulled off! I've felt great considering. I actually got two nights in a row of great sleep. I'm eating almost normally (smaller portions, but more of them.)
Mom had a good visit here and she cooked lots of comfort food trying to get some meat back on my bones. Lisa and Carter took her to DFW this morning so she can finally see her Husband after four weeks. Carter is heading out back to home at O'dark hundred in the morning for Riverside. As much as I enjoyed all the company, Lisa and I could use some quiet time together.
Real a great Little book today - Don't Waste Your Cancer. By John Piper. Great perspective for us Christian Folks.
God has got this totally under control! i.e.: I talked with the CEO of my Company today on a new job I was assigned (small but important, may lead to lots of future work.) She was told last week briefly what was going on with me health wise.
We spent about ten minutes discussing the new job (new college housing, types of inspections we will be doing) and 15 minutes talking about Cancer (She's a 20 year survivor) and her story (just had a baby, plus two toddlers.) It was a fantastic conversation and she left it with,
"Whatever you need personally or professionally, just let me know."
Not bad for being with the company for 3 1/2 months.
Tomorrow is Chemo Day!
As always, Thanks for the prayers,
Jeff and Lisa
Some great news!! Glad your mom came...you needed some real hands-on comfort.
Now, go beat the hell out of that cancer! :)
Fantastic News!
Thanks for the updates. It is important for people to see the power of prayer in action. Your attitude is an example for anyone faced with adversity to follow.
You and your family are in my continued prayers.
God Bless
More prayers for you, Jeff.
God is not finished with you yet.
