Celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain says America's restaurant industry would shut down if Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election. Bourdain blasted Trump's vow to deport illegal immigrants if elected, saying it would leave the nation's kitchens empty.

Too funny. The number and type of jobs that illegals do because “Americans won’t do them” keeps on growing.
I’ll move out of the U. S...
I’ll hold my breath...
I’ll close my restaurants...
Name three threats that never happen.
People who can’t do business without breaking the law should be in business.
OK.
Many of these so-called 'immigrants', especially the muslims, despise America, are jealous of our freedoms, way of life and prosperity, and smile at our stupidity as they take our taxpayer funded entitlements and crank out the anchor babies like there's no tomorrow.
If democrats understood economics they wouldn’t say these things. If enforcing the law of the land did result in a shortage of workers then the wage of restaurant workers would rise. Isn’t that what Democrats want, don’t they want a living wage? No, once again, they prove they want dependent masses on dole who are forced to due their bidding.
So paying $15.00 per hour minimum wage will save the food industry?
Don’t you love all this happy horse crap about the wonderful people “who have been living with us”?
First off, they haven’t been living with me, thank God.
Second of all I don’t give a damn where or how they have been “living” I don’t want them I don’t need them for the very simple reason they are not Americans and they did not even “visit” this country legally.
I don’t have to hate them, I don’t have to love them. I just want them to go back to their own country.
When it comes to restaurant hygeine, I’m a canary in a coal mine. Maybe if someone familiar with at least early 20th century practices was employed in the kitchens, I might be able to eat at restaurants more often.
We went to Bistro Don Giovanni in Napa Ca. The food was outstanding and the kitchen was staffed exclusively with Mexican-Americans. An Italian restaurant whose cooks were not Italian. I’m guessing the cooking staff was not illegals.
They [the staff] most likely doesn’t want the illegal competition.
My parents are in the restaurant business in Branson, MO. They were very frustrated that, just as the city began to be busier and wages were starting to go up, the illegals moved in and took most of the restaurant jobs. There are a lot of Americans who were glad to do these jobs, and will be again.

This guy Bourdain has been sniffin’ too many spices in the pantry. Maybe NOT spices.
Oy vey. He’s an idiot.
Promises, promises....
What would happen is that lower skilled Americans would be able to work and be paid a wage that matches their skills. They would probably be paid a wage higher than the restaurants are currently paying because Americans aren’t willing to live thirty to a house.
LOL!
Unemployment isn’t welfare. It’s insurance that you pay into when you work. If you don’t work you are not eligible for it.
