Last night during the CNBC primary debate, Donald Trump, who to this point in the campaign had been the Republican candidate most closely aligned with the conservative grassroots on immigration policy, seemed to have altered his message in several significant ways.
Breitbart News documented some of these changes here.

PING
Ping!
DT: I am calling TODAY on Disney to hire back every one of the workers they replaced, and I am calling on Rubio to immediately rescind his sponsorship of the I-Squared bill and apologize to every Floridian for endorsing it. I am further calling on Rubio to return the money he has received from Silicon Valley CEOs and to donate the money to a charity helping unemployed Americans whose jobs Rubio has helped to destroy.
Thank you so much for posting this! I was very curious about this last night.
I thought he spoke out a little too forcefully in favor of H1B visas.
He was emphatic that he loved them ALL.
I think that was a mistake, and that’s coming from a very die-hard Trump supporter.
Breitbart’s original article by Neil Munro was fake and he received a lot of abuse for it over night, but Breitbart decides to double down and now uses the headline “Trump rights ship,” as if it had been unrighted because Neil Munro said so.
He’s learning on the job, bet Jeff Sessions gave him a call.
Well played dt, well played
He said in his speech today that the question was confusing.
He seemed to think the questioner was accusing him of not wanting the best foreign students to stay once the have graduated.
He wants top students to stay rather than send everything back to their native countries.
He also reemphasized he did not one anyone to stay at the expense of any American workers.
You are welcome. I was curious about it too.
Disney will refuse. Who knows what Rubio will do?
So which one is it, Mr. Trump? All the people working the jobs that the Disney workers used to do came here legally. I assume they're talented in their own way. Just about every H-1B fills a job an American could be doing. Are you for them or against them?
Donald’s too rich to be caught in flip flops. Only actual Republicans do that.
Trump has someone on call for these moments.
I could fault him, but I actually find it refreshing for him to come back and correct himself the next day.
We’ve asked to have someone like that for a long time, and here his is. He listens and modifies his stance to get it right.
I can’t argue with that.
Donald loves everybody. No big deal. It’s just a figure of speech.
“Trump, who leads many national 2016 polls, granted Breitbart News an interview on the subject.”
Anyone have any idea when this interview took place? I realize that a little detail like that is asking too much with today’s state of journalistic standards.
H1B’s are supposed to be temporary and not replace American jobs. That’s fine except we’re not tracking them.
He explained this today in Nevada during the Q&A. He said American workers FIRST. Listen and learn.
Not much difference between foreign students and H1-Bs. The foreign students just get to come here earlier and take away a slot in school from an American even before they take away their job.
