Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump may be trailing rival Ben Carson in some Iowa polls, but heâs a heck of a lot more tweetable.
This analysis came from Twitter, which broke down each Republican candidateâs âshare of the debate conversationâ after the 10 contenders mixed it up in Boulder, Colo., Wednesday night in a primary debate aired on CNBC. Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.) trailed the field.
Most mentioned candidates on Twitter, with share of debate conversation:
Donald Trump: 22.19 percent
Ted Cruz: 14.49 percent
Ben Carson: 12.58 percent
Marco Rubio: 12.24 percent
Jeb Bush: 11.30 percent
Carly Fiorina: 7.13 percent
Chris Christie: 5.43 percent
John Kasich: 5.39 percent
Mike Huckabee: 5.07 percent
Rand Paul: 4.17 percent

I sure hope we have a Trump/Cruz
Cruz should be AG....and Cruz knows it, too.
Even though Raul probably has more clarity on the economy and the Constitution than anyone up there. His problem is stage presence and foreign policy. It would appear his calling is not to be President but IMO it is helpful for him to say what needs to be said on the national stage.
He (and Cruz) are lone voices in Congress decrying unconstitutional federal acts and tyranny.
Wait. What? This article says Cruz won it, in dramatic fashion.

I’m hoping Donald Trump comes up with a better comparision to his border fence than the Wall of China, its getting old.
And it took many years to build that wall, so when i hear him speak about it i think its going to take a lifetime to complete.
Come up with a military description like setting up a runway in the middle of nowhere.
Fiorina: 10:32
Rubio: 10:10
Kasich: 9:42
Trump: 9:26
Christie: 8:31
Huckabee: 7:39
Cruz: 7:34
Carson: 7:02
Bush: 6:39
Paul: 6:15
Im a Cruz guy now but Id be down with a ticket like that
Thank you! I am glad to hear a voice of reason here.
Paul did get shortchanged but on the other hand, so did Jeb. And they gave Kasich enough time to commit political hari-kari.
Read the article, at the link you posted.
Cruz ONLY won at “that one moment” - when he slammed the media.
THIS thread is about the overall numbers, provided by Twitter.
I had a feeling Trump dominated and was scratching my head a bit when I saw Cruz’ team tweet something about Cruz *winning* the social media traffic, for the debate.
Trump tweeted these stats, earlier.
True; Jeb is only still in these debates because of his last name. They did give Kasich enough rope to hang himself.
Cruz would be an AWESOME AG for Trump, or a da&# good Majority Leader of Senate.
You’re welcome.
Looks like Rand Paul is going to try to single-highhandedly filibuster this disgusting raising of the deficit WITHOUT A CEILING giving Obama and the Lefties a blank check that apparently Paul Ryan has agreed to ratify. Looks like an exercise in futility but maybe someone, somewhere, sometime, somehow, will actually pay attention. Anyway, I applaud him and Cruz for taking stands against political correctness and for America and the American People.
At first I thought I heard Cruz say, during the debate, that he’d supported RON Paul’s audit the fed Bill. Lol.
is the statistic relevant to anything?
is it actually meaningful?
no not really
he did and Rand thanked him
Go Trump!!!!
Go Trump!!!!
